  The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was for 4 people but we rented it for 2 of us because we wanted the lake view. It was lovely and spacious and you could sit on the sofa and look out across the lake. It's a short walk to lots of restaurants and bars along a very pleasant promenade. We had a lovely time there. Salo is really... lo que la gente dice » pleasant and in a good location to see other towns. We parked a few minutes walk away in the supermarket as recommended and this was free. Would stay - What wasn't to like? The family-owned apartments are well kept. There is also a family run butcher shop next door which was excellent! The location is literally a hop across the street from the promenade. Absolutely lovely area! Right around the corner from two different grocery stores. There is a great market on Saturdays with a mix of clothing and local food vendors. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again!

  We had an unexpected opportunity to visit Lake Garda with just a little notice. We didn't have time to learn about every town so we decided to do something creative and pick where to stay based on the hotel. We chose the place with the best guest ratings we could find. That hotel was the Aromi Piccolo... and so we found ourselves in Saló. The ... lo que la gente dice » reviews were EXACTLY right. It's a very close- knit group that run and/ or own the hotel. They were all sincerely kind and genuinely helpful. Most - The hotel was on the major route through town so was easily accessible however it was not noisy. The hotel provided secure car parking in a parking garage directly across from the hotel at €8 per day. The hotel was extremely modern. The room was bright and fresh with lots of space. The bathroom was modern and well laid out. The whole place was very well designed and appeared very fresh and new.
