The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay extremely memorable and comfortable. They were also very helpful with advice on where to go and visit and places to eat. The hotel is in a great loction right on the lake with bars, shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. We would definitely stay here again. -

I was really sad when leaving this place.

This was an amazing experience - this place was literally someones own castle, and was restored to a beautifull relaxing hotel. The design of the enterior is an adventure on its own, we loved the gardens and relazing chairs, the terraces and the staff who was extremely friendly giving us a tour of the place, and all the attention at dinner and breakfast. Wonderful, helpful and reliable staff. You could set your watch to the three rotating desk clerks, and each was extremely warm and hospitable. Wifi was very reliable, unlike that of other hotels which claim to offer it, and then it only works in the lobby. They maintain routers for each floor of the hotel to improve reception. -

What wasn't to like? The family-owned apartments are well kept. There is also a family run butcher shop next door which was excellent! The location is literally a hop across the street from the promenade. Absolutely lovely area! Right around the corner from two different grocery stores. There is a great market on Saturdays with a mix of clothing and local food vendors. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again!
