So unexpectedly lovely - the converted attic/loft had ample space for four, very comfortable beds for everyone (no horrid sofa beds here), a big fridge, efficient a/c, a lovely little lounge to relax in, and a delicious and pleasant breakfast to boot. I thought that the loft was utterly charming - stylish, really comfortable and very well thought through. We loved that it was self-contained - we could relax with a glass of wine in the sitting room while our sons slept next door. There is a park across the road with a children's play area, which was perfect for letting off steam the following morning! We came as part of a two day trip to exlore Wissant, the surrounding area and to do some shopping. Thorughly recommend it and will be back.

We stayed for one night each way to/from a holiday in the Vendee. The location was great; only a few minutes from the autoroute. The owners were friendly and welcoming, the house was amazing and the gardens were very pleasant. Our room was well furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and you got the impression that the owners would go out

W used this hotel as a stop over as it is near to Calais-less than an
hour drive away. The chateau is impressive to look at but a bit of
'faded glory' look about the place... Let's call it shabby
chic to be positive!.The reception/ bedrooms are typical French
chateau (as you would expect) all very clean and tastefully decorated.
The owner was very pleasant and the breakfast he made was superb. Just a
note to say that they don't do evening meals but we found a nice
restaurant just 5 minutes -all

The location makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas (Le Touquet, Berck sur Mer, Etaples, Merlimont...are all within 5 to 20 mins reach).
The owners are very welcoming and extremely friendly and helpful. The property is pristine, rooms spacious and comfortable and the breakfast (continental) is plentiful and fresh.

Although we only stayed overnight we had a very warm welcome from the owner. Comfortable bedroom, we had a good night's sleep. Hostess was very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean, contemporary and spacious and with a large en-suite bathroom. Location was great for easy access off the main autoroute and also close to the centre of the town for restaurants etc. and near to a golf course for those that want it. The continental breakfast was lovely, complemented by delightful homemade jams.

Can't give a 10, but probably should. Nothing too much trouble, dinner party set-up, food served with style, decor retro, at our age a few less mirrors in the bedroom would have been preferable. Richard and Vanessa have a beautiful small hotel, wonderfully furnished and decorated. We stayed just one night on our way to the South of France. It is a perfect distance from Calais where we could get a good rest before heading on. It is also a lovely area to explore and with some good restaurants (recommended by the hotel owners).

The guest house and grounds are beautiful, very much cared for and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there.

4. Clean, tidy, and it has a vintage feel to it, where you could forget you are actually in Calais

Very friendly, and comfortable, clean room. We chose this Chambre d'Hote because it's only a 20min drive from the Calais ferry. We only stayed one night, but we would have liked to stay longer as it was such a nice place and the lady that runs it is very welcoming. Highly recommended - great value and a much better option than the bland chain hotel

The (fixed menu) food was superb and all home cooked. My wife asked for the recipe for the cheese tart, and was given some of the cheese as well! We will certainly be staying there on our future cross-channel trips.

For the same price as a basic motel room, this is way better... it is, for us, a part of the holiday, not just an overnight stop. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely location and beautiful gardens. It is a shame we didn't have more time there. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but breakfast on the terrace was delicious and a delightful spot. Woken at 6.00am by the smell of fresh baking bread. Heaven! -

We liked the relaxing atmosphere, the jacuzzi, the massage, the lovely breakfast, the comfortable bed and that it only took 5-10 minutes to drive to the beautiful Côte d´Opale. -
A Hidden Gem Claude and Pascal were excellent Hosts.
Why do British not stay at this excellent place begs belief. If you want that bit of France this is the place.

Like proximity to beaches and main restaurants. Loved the room at a reasonable rate for 2 adults and 1 child room was spacious and well appointed shower area was clean with good rain type shower head and plenty of towels.
Bar area was small but staff really friendly and a nice place to sit for a drink after a meal.

The hotel is well located for Hardelot restaurants and the beach, especially useful as some of our party are elderly and cannot walk very far. The rooms were great - much bigger than expected and it was nice to have a balcony. Staff were very helpful. We have stayed in other hotels in the location as this is a favourite part of the world for us - and we will definitely be coming back to les Jardins d'Hardelot
