I really liked how they stored my suitcase before check in so I could do my work and same thing after I checked out. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.

We arrived at a busy time but the staff were helpful, polite and welcoming. The breakfast coupon was great and we took full advantage of the dining room and enjoyed the hearty breakfast. The location was great as we just stepped out of the door, across to the leg for the Nov. 11 ceremony. When we asked for directions to another location we were given maps and clear instructions.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly orienting us to the local
restaurants and sites, right down to the walk along the water to the
city. I only wish we had longer to stay. The breakfast was scrumptuous
and served on an enclosed deck which included a heater in the ceiling.

A wonderful and warm reception awaits you at Aross the Habour. I am sad that we were only there for 2 nights, could have stayed for months. Sue & Zen have an indepth knowledge of the area and make you feel one of the family. We shall return and will stay longer.

The location was ideal to get away from the in-town crowds even while being close enough to make quick trips to the Inner Harbor area. we were in room 307 which was very nice. Hotel overall was comfortable except that the room was too warm. The small units in each level did not cool the room very well. Loved the Cask beer in the bar downstairs. Also liked the family room next to the bar - we had a group of 20 in there on Sunday night and it was excellent - staff were great.

Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the
Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi,
also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day.
As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size
didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn
met those very well. The restaurant is excellent. The staff very
friendly and helpful. Although there is no elevator, staff will carry
