courteous staff, helpful. hotel was very full due to marathon weekend, (I was a participant). they were geared up for the event. The hotel was quiet, I slept well. I would consider staying there again.

We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and water kettle in the kitchenette, just perfect for traveling with children. Strathcona Hotel fitted our budget perfectly. The room was small but clean and comfortable. On our first night there was a problem with the hot water not being very hot and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was quickly fixed.

The hotel was beautiful, well done reno's, the lobby is gorgeous, we stayed in an older room with older t.v. and furnishings, but was everything we needed, we spent the only time in the room sleeping, so the bed was comfortable, clean and had free wi'fi, so I could post my pics on FB as we travelled, only thing I would request going forward, is coffee offered to guests that get up before 7:30 am, when breakfast is served, we are early risers, 7Eleven is 1/2 a block away, and was a nice walk in

We arrived fairly late and had a bite to eat and a drink in the pub downstairs. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

I really liked how they stored my suitcase before check in so I could do my work and same thing after I checked out. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I love the decor of the entrance lobby, hallway, and elevator area. Room was very clean and tasteful. Mini refrigerator, water pot, and coffee maker were perfect. View was also nice. Clean bathroom. I couldn't have asked for more! -

Abigail’s Hotel is a small boutique bed and breakfast hotel, located on a cul-de-sac in a very nice residential area of downtown Victoria and close to the attractions of the Inner Harbour.

This was, by far, our best place we stayed during our 11-day honeymoon. The staff was so welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, as well as the evening hors d'oeuvres. We enjoyed relaxing in the library lounge room, and visiting with the other guests. In the room, the fireplace was a nice touch. Also, the sound machine on the bedside table played some soothing music that we enjoyed. We have already told many of our family and friends that Abigail's is the only place to book in the future.

Our experience at the Union Club was nothing but positive, the rooms were small but comfortable and the service in the restuarant was excellent as was the food. Awesome price for downtown Victoria and included breakfast that you could order off the menu not a continental style. The waiter was suburb. Would definitly stay again, also the no cell phones in the common area was very refreshing to say the least.
