  We loved the ambience! There was a young man playing the sax right under our window when we arrived and it was magical. When we entered the room there was a wood smell from the fireplace. It was heaven!   What a classic! I loved it and felt that I was a part of the real Victoria that many never see. The quiet location within walking distance of the downtown and transit to the rest of town was great. This gave me a chance to walk down the wonderful staircase admire th - Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi, also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day. As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn met those very well. The restaurant is excellent.   The bed was fantastic. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed. Even stayed and slept in as late as I could. Room was spacious and fairly quiet. Ice & pop machines were just a few doors down hall from the room - I always get the best possible sleep at the Inn. It feels comfortable, familiar and inviting.   The Quadra Island location is wonderful. The rooms were comfortable and we found the restaurant pretty good. They cooked our salmon and it was fabulous.   The room was extremely clean. The bedding was nice. There were lots of power outlets. Mirrors were handy. Bathtub and shower was nice. Curtains blocked out daylight and sound. Nice TV. - Excellent location for Sidney. Their facilities are very well kept. Staff are helpful, professional and polite. Lots of parking.

  I had a private room for a really good price, though small I had a fridge and lots of cupboards above the bed. Comfortable and quiet despite having a bar downstairs, soundproofing was very good couldn't hear other guests when in my room. I wasn't keen on my original room as was a bit stuffy but reception offered me an alternativ - We loved our stay in this hotel! We got a room with a private bathroom, and the room was very comfortable and clean. Hotel's staff was also very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is great - was close to everything we needed in downtown. The price was great too! I highly recommend this hotel and we will stay there again next time we are in Victoria.

  I stayed in Room 316, which was very clean and comfortable, and offered all the amenities, including WiFi, minifridge, free parking at the door, a seasonal pool and modest complimentary breakfast. Some rooms offer balconies, and are pet-friendly....mine was neither, so I - The room was well stocked with the necessities e.g. pots, pans appliances and dinnerware. The beds were a little hard but the staff was willing to accommodate my wife to make her stay a little more comfortable.
