the hotel was tucked away in poperinge near Ypres and was quite delightful. The rooms were very nice with excellent bathrooms. The 4 course set meal was delicious and good value for money. I will definitly book again ! -

Perfect location - easy to walk to town centre, in a quiet and peaceful street. Easy to find by car and a very reasonable price.
Facilities were top-notch, well-furnished, own lounge was lovely; kitchen facilities excellent; bedroom furniture very good, comfortable bed. Safe lockable integral parking garage.

Wonderful accommodations for our family with three little children
(5,3,1). It was recommended to us by couple of friends who stayed there
prior and now we can recommend it to everyone too. It was on a perfect
location to explore Brugge by foot. Hostess was wonderful and gave us
much useful information to really make this stay interesting. We highly
recommend!

After the tourist visits to Brugue and the surrounding areas during the day this was a lovely place to relax and unwind on a night. It is much more than just a b & b. Rooms are all individual and lovely designed. The hot tub and the gardens were a great place to relax on a night. Guy and Axel were unobtrusive host but provided a very friendly service and good advice on places to visit. They are great hosts. A cosy small hotel. Very good to relax from the stress of the city. Very good service and a good and quiet breakfast. You can even sleep in because the breakfast can be taken until noon. This was our second stay at the Hotel Royal. We returned to it because we enjoyed our first stay so much. This is a little gem of a hotel that deserves more than the three stars it currently has; it is at least a three-plus if not a four star standard. Since our last stay they have made many improvements on what was already a very nice hotel.

From the moment we arrived the lady at reception was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet, even to the parking meter we were helped and offered for our luggage to be taken to the hotel.
