Melaluca on Mitchell is located in the heart of Darwin and is right across from Coles. It's surrounded by great pubs and restaurants.
I booked a double bed accessible room with my own ensuite and the room was great value for money and fully accessible. I also loved that the aircon was so loud it blocked out most of the noise!

Great pool & bar! It's so warm in Darwin the pool is always being used.
Rely enjoyed my stay at Melaleuca, I was travelling along and found it easy to make friends to have fun with.
They have cleaners that work everyday, so bathroom is clean and the bedroom bins are always changed. The mess comes from other guests

Very friendly and helpful staff who made our stay enjoyable. The position was very good quick access to all tourist areas while in a quiet location out of the main city centre. Secure off street parking. -
Hospitable staff, nice accomodations. Good kitchen, nice to have fridge in private room and the pool was heavenly in the very hot weather.

I had a private room so it was luxurious! Great that towels were provided that was a real bonus and simple breakfast was really appreciated. I was also impressed that I was given a discount for the broken sink. Overall I was really impressed as I haven't stayed in a backpacker's lodge since the 70's!!! Yes I am 60 years young!!!!!! -

The place is exceeding all expectations, I wish I could rate it as "20". Everything is very-well thought, people are not only friendly but really caring and take the guests problems as their own even if they are not related to hostel stay (e.g. finding a doctor). Clean and cozy, nice swimming pool with hammock, surrounded by the trees and bushes
