The room that I had was quite small but comfortable. It was very convenient for the purpose for which I used it - came in late and headed to bed. There was a TV in case I had wanted to watch it. The bathroom facilities were shared with other guests, but I did not have to see anyone else or wait in line to use these facilities. The whole establishment was clean; the doors to the rooms were colorfully painted with fish and birds, etc. On the whole a very nice hotel with staff who were friendly an.

Go only some minutes downhill to Vendors Plaza, where many taxis and safari taxis can be found, and to the large (mainly tourist) shopping and eating area of Main Street and the waterfront. Uphill and stairs to room were doable for us, a young couple. Staff helped with information about the island and were friendly and in a good mood. The location close to the docks was fantastic as was the proximity to the shopping shopping. The staff were fantastically friendly and made me feel welcome the second I stepped through the door. The fact that a delicious breakfast was included was the another key highlight. It's a beautiful little cosy hotel that presents excellent value for money. I think the Galleon House Hotel is a great value for the money. The staff is kind, courteous and accommodating. Gayle is FANTASTIC & a great asset. The breakfast was delicious and made hot to order daily. There is a tropical relaxing feeling at the hotel. It's very close to several tourist attractions and the local bus transportation. The feel of the guest house was fine itself, the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is good especially for those who don't mind borrowing a car or taking the public transportation (called Safari) to get to the seaside as it is located in the port. Nevertheless, shopping opportunities are best here. The staff was over the top helpful. From sunscreen to best restaurants to extra pillows. The breakfasts were wonderful each morning on the patio overlooking the pool and the bay. This b&b is great for budget travels. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. That we were able to make a late registration and the owner was so affable. We have stayed there twice while traveling and we will stay there again!. The innkeeper Jeff was very helpful. Nice pool and the grounds were very clean. We felt like we were staying with friends not a B&B. The flight of steps up to get to the actual hotel is long. Could be hard on a person who is not in decent physical shape. On the other hand it was kind of funny when I finally reached the check-in counter - was breathing pretty hard. Stairs leading up to the hotel other than that, it was excellent and had no complaints. Lots of stairs & therefore not handicap accessible. Otherwise it was fine.. The guest house is all good, however, beware if you want to go for a walk at night (generally after dark), it could be quite scary as locals are mingling, nobody wants to get into trouble, so at best - be in group. All the steps at the end of a long day!. WiFi is not free; very thin walls (couple in next room was fighting all night...). Several flights of stairs before you get to the lobby -- can be an issue for older travelers or those carrying heavy luggage. Our room was comfortable but very small. Sheets were a bit rough. The resident Iguanas were a bit of a surprise! The steps up to the hotel were steep but not too long. Small rooms $3.00 for a small glass of oj. very steep lots of stairs when you have lots of luggage. then it does make for some great cardio!. Small rooms and more stairs than I could count. They need to invest in some pest control, ants and other bugs. Serve breakfast earlier. Booking .com said 6:30am, but we were told 8:00am. The main flight leaves at 9:20 so no coffee.
