1) A great location for me to do business in both Fernandina Beach and Jacksonville. 2) The property is well maintained...I thought it had recently opened and was surprised to find find out it had been in business for several years! 3) My room was nicely furnished and very clean. 4) The Hot Breakfast was much better than the microwave fare at some other chains in this category. Rooms were really nice. Beds very comfortable. Bath nice and big, with lots of counter space. Very quiet. Nice breakfast. Cookies in lobby after 6:00 pm. Right off I95, but very quiet.
all reviews » The hotel was great, the staff was friendly and knowledgable. The room was clean and smelled good. There were fresh baked cookie when we arrived and fresh lemonade as well. Clean, nice amenities/design, friendly and professional check-in staff. Breakfast staff was confused about unlocking breakfast refrigerator... Nt a big deal. Staff was amazing. Beds were extremely comfortable. Good Breakfast. Location was perfect for us to attend the Shrimp Festival in Fernandina Beach. The room size; price; "grits" for breakfast; location; comfortable; two TV's; good beds, etc. Super friendly people and the facility was clearly recently rennovated - it looks brand new. room was really clean and smoke free exelent staf i will recommended. Our first room had airconditioner problems that couldn't be fixed. The comforter was a little heavy for September in Florida. I had to get up at 3 am and turn the ac down as low as it would go. Very hard to see/know about from the street at night. We almost thought our programmed GPS was incorrect, and were digging for the phone number when we spotted it behind the service station. Only complaint was that we were next to the ice machine which did make some noise all night, not horrible, just annoying. Gravy with meat in it. The address didn't show up on my gps so I had to call the hotel for directions. Breakfast was not good. The room was small/tight. upon checking in, the clerk was on the phone and never acknowledged me until she hung up....it did sound as if she was on the phone with a supervisor BUT could have used customer service skills to speak with the customer and then resume the phone conversation. They tried to charge me more than .letsbookhotel.com had quoted me. This twice that I have used letsbookhotel.com and have had problems with the billing. We had a king room with two adults and a four year old. There were 2 towels, I had to ask for more and when the room got cleaned they again only left two. King rooms should always have four towels. I've never seen such a thing on my travels. Carpet had stains, needed to be cleaned. Also the AC was difficult to control, set at 73 but it would come on, be too cool, then cut off & be too hot. To many DOGS barking all night. to many kids running up and dowd hall, at night. Will dot stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!.
