The overall feel of the place was quite nice. A wonderful living room/parlor space, clean and comfortable beds and bathrooms. They have a delicious breakfast of in season fruits, gourmet muffins, and nice coffee. The lady who checked my in was friendly and helpful. Charming old fashioned inn. Furnishings are old/antique. Breakfast room/lounge encourages mingling with other guests. The place reminded me of the inns of my childhood, which were old-fashioned even then. Very charming, if you like that kind of thing.
Everything was neat and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ideal location for visiting sites in the area. A great change from the sterile oneness of the chain hotels. I would definitely recommend Twin Gables to other travelers and friends.

Minor issue - the fan on the room's AC unit varied slightly in pitch. Very subtle, but I tend to sleep very lightly. I was able to mute this with a handy white noise app on my smart phone. ; ).
Shared bathrooms, but I knew that when I booked the room. AC blew right on the beds.
I prefer to have my breakfast sitting before a real table,.
