The front desk personnel provided free breakfast for our trouble in having to wait to check in until the symphony people checked out (at 6 pm) Also the lady in the bar gave us two free glasses of wine each because of our trouble. The staff was very empathetic to my disappointing attempt at staying at the New Grand Hotel and immediately had me in a pleasant and clean room so that I could get some sleep prior to my interview the next morning.

Nice view of the river falls and the grounds outside. Nice friendly employees. Beds were awesome. I would be interested in buying that mattress for my home. Very clean and up to date. Nice Room, comfy bed, fun pool, clean bathroom, good location, friendly staff. Location was great, staff was nice, and very comfortable beds. The location and how close it was too the airforce base. Clean,reasonable,friendly. Good food. The bed was very comfortable. Hotel hallways and lobby were clean. Price. Value. Comfort of room. Location. The owner has an agreement with the local symphony that allowed them to delay checkout until 6 PM, meanwhile arriving guests had to wait from noon until 8 pm to check into their rooms. The restaurant seemed a bit understaffed and the building exterior, particularly the windows, are due for a power washing. nothing. Since there are two beds in the room it would be nice to have two caffeinated/decaf coffee packets available for guest. Air conditioning needs work. We had to make some adjustments to get the whole room cool. They need something to help circulate the cold air better. The carpet on the 4th floor had stains on it and needs to be cleaned to make it look good. High beds. Tv quit working Tues morning. Second floor entrance to pool was locked and we had to go through lobby - bad form. Spa jets were not working. Question: Why do you ask about "gay friendly" and not about Hetero-friendly? Is my business not welcome also?. My room smelled from cigarette smoke. I felt like I was sleeping in a ash tray. They did not tell me they were giving me a smoking room. I would recommend, only if you can get a non-smoking room. Booked our room wrong. The desk clerk never said "Welcome the Holiday Inn, he said "Drivers Licence and Credit card", never looking at me. He finished checking me in with " initlal here and here and sign here, While saying "next Drivers licence and credit card to next person in line. He never looked up to see who I was. High priced breakfast.
