I enjoyed the view from my room on the 8th floor. There was a DVD player in the room and a nice size (36 inch?) LG flat screen TV. Since the weather didn't cooperate we were able to rent movies and watch them in our room using the DVD player. The breakfast buffet at Pier 14 was great. It was a great value, as it was included in the price. The servers were very friendly. The location on the beach was good. The front desk staff was friendly. We left three DVDs in the room after checkout.

A super idea to be able to have a choice of several cold drinks,coffee or tea any time in the lobby. The buffet breakfast that is offered in Pier 14 was very tasty---a big variety to choose from everyday. So glad we picked this hotel to stay in. Anytime we are back in Virginia Beach I would definitely stay again. The staff was extremely friendly. The hot breakfast buffet was great and extensive. The balcony was large and the room was very clean. There was a Greek restaurant named Ammos which is attached to the hotel which we really enjoyed and Charles at the front desk gave us a 20% off of our meal coupon which was very nice. They also sanitize the tv remotes which I love since I am a clean freak. It was conveniently located and right on the beach. There was a Catholic Church two blocks away which was convenient. I appreciated the hot breakfast being included. I loved being able to just roll out of bed and go downstairs for breakfast. I like my room cool and the air conditioner worked well. The staff was helpful and kind. We loved the ocean front view! It was so nice to be right in the middle of everything there is to do in Virginia Beach. With 3 small children it was so nice to not have to pack everyone into the van to go somewhere, all we had to do was walk out the front door and EVERYTHING we needed was right there! Very nice hotel!. Friendly and courteous staff, a welcoming lobby and most importantly the complementary breakfast. The most important thing about the breakfast it saves you time, time from having to go out (drive, park, drive back, park again). Also you can have you first good cup of coffee as soon as you can get to the lobby. The full breakfast buffet was a wonderful perk of the hotel. Enjoyed the oceanfront location right next to the pier. Front desk staff was very friendly and accomodating! We also appreciated the coffee and juices in the lobby! Hope to stay here again!. Location beachfront and next to the amusement park, shops, pier, restaurants walking distance.... Includes the best full breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Staff helpful quick and courteous. Could not ask for better customer service!! The best I have experienced in Va Beach. The room was clean and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The person who checked me out was very friendly and made up for the curtness of the one who checked me in. I loved that the beach was right outside our window; the restaurant inside the hotel was budget friendly; the parking was excellent; the hotel was quiet at night; great location to shopping, food, entertainment. The staff were very friendly and did their best to work with us on our early arrival. They offer a late check out (2pm) for $25 which we also used. It is all redone and is clean and new looking. Fortunately, they served us, but managment of the hotel and the restaurant need to speak to one another. There wasn't any handsoap in the bathroom. It was a little pricey for the time of year. The beds were firmer than I personally like but everyone is different. There were several school marching bands staying at the hotel so it was very loud. I thought the staff could have been a little more friendly and helpful about the local attractions. But everything else was perfect!. Not much except I couldn’t rent a bike at 8 am, the gift shop was closed. I rented at the pier. Had to change rooms as first room given was at the elevator. Second room nice but had to have the room frig replaced, safe fixed, balcony doorknob fixed when we got there. No a/c in hallways. No hot tub. Need more shelves, hooks in small bathroom area. Not applicable. Car alarm going off. Some of the staff were very loud in the hallway. The front office staff could've been a bit friendlier at check in. She was very curt and spoke very rapidly. I had to go on what I knew about hotels to understand what she was talking about. The only thing I didn't like was that the City of Virginia Beach crunches the seashells every morning. Since I collect seashells, that was a bummer. Liked the whole experience!. the elevators did what it wanted to sometimes. Lol.like it would move before you would put the floor # in !!. hard to control the air conditioning. When we called down to see if we could check out 1 hour late, we were told no due to the hotel being booked. When you pay that much for a room I don't think 1 hour will really hurt but policy is policy. How small the bathroom was smell of the sheets loud neighbors How small the parking deck was. The restaurant was being remodeled which was disappointing, but it didn't take away from our breakfast. The free parking was great, but if you have an over size vehicle, you will need to park in a lot down the street. No hot tub. Pier 14 restaurant for dinner was awful. slow - food not good. The restaurant and Bar closed to early and it's suppose to be high tourist season and we are paying a lot of money for staying at your place. Wish there was a hot tub. The pool size was disappointing. It was almost like we the guest were taking turns to use it. Elevators were slow. the design of the wash sink wasn'T designed very well, when you open the door from the toilet you hit whoever is washing or brushing their teeth, should be A good designed sliding door since the sink is right there by the door. I thought I had booked a hotel that had a Jacuzzi with a indoor pool. When we got to the pool inside we found the Jacuzzi was actually a baby pool. I thought it was advertised to have a Jacuzzi an so did two other people at the pool area. Also towels for pool are two small. They took out the little icecream shop that was in when it was just the sandcastle. That should have stayed it was convenient & our kids loved it.....it was nice to stop in on our way back from a stroll. The pool - there was no jacuzzi. Price. You could not take complimentary breakfast back to the room. And indoor pool area was kind of trashy. Also access to parking deck was not secure. Toilet leaking. price. there were no smoking rooms. No indoor hot tub..and the attached restaurant was awful!.
