While it seems to be predominately a business hotel. I was in Vancouver for my granddaughter's graduation. I had the grandchildren take turns staying with me to enjoy the pool and shopping; the hotel was really welcoming to these well-behaved children and we all enjoyed their stay. The rooms were meticulously clean, large, well-appointed and comfortable and the staff was pleasant and cooperative. The extra cost for business floor and its amenities turned out not to be worthwhile for this .
all reviews » I have stayed here a couple times before. It is a perfect place to stay. I used to prefer large hotels. But since finding Heathman Lodge I always stay here. Ambiance is perfect! Rooms are spacious and perfectly appointed. Restaurant is gourmet. All levels of staff are well-trained and efficient and always ready to serve with a smile. Have I said enough to convince you to book a room? I hope so!!!!! You will be glad you did!!!!!. Tempurpedic mattress a treat. Tidy and workable food prep area. Private balcony a treat. Hudsons makes a great burger. Exercise facilities the best. Very quiet overall except the room doors slam loudly. Worth the extra money for the pleasant ambiance.. I like that the hotel is cozy even though I know it is busy and that they actually host many events. Even though it was a holiday event Saturday, it still manages to make you feel that you are at a quaint inn where everyone knows your name. The room as big and spacious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful to answer questions. The decorations were beautiful and fun to look at; definitely felt like a place for the romantic getaway we were looking for. Staff were helpful and friendly. They are the first faces you encounter when you arrive, and they recognize that you don't know what you are doing and where you want to go at the hotel. It was absolutely lovely. So much nicer even in person than the pictures. Staff was fantastic, so friendly. Food was awesome at Hudson's. I could not ask for more. The price for the room was great, 125$/night for two queens and a deck is fantastic; plus the shower with an actual closing door and a fan that works was a huge plus. Comfort, the look and style of the lodge, helpful staff, nothing went wrong. Rooms are layed out well. Like the log cabin, rustic look. It was green, warm and friendly. The decorations were tasteful and the staff was helpful and seemed to like working at the lodge. The friendliness of the staff. The spaciousness of the room we were in. Budget-friendly. Great restaurant. Great location to highway 205 and so nice not to have to go out to eat. WOuld recommend this hotel any day. The ease with checking in and the friendly staff. There was no bible in the room, which was a bit surprising. Also it was advertised that there would be tea making facilities and there was no tea in the room. Nothing at all. it was fantastic. I couldn't get my phone to connect to the internet, but I suspect that was a problem on my end and not anything you guys did wrong. There was a fire alarm at 1am which disturbed our sleep and hurt my husband's vulnerable ears. A bathtub had overflowed and shorted a circuit. Nothing sticks out as a negative. No bathtub Showerhead was old and functioned terribly Hard water. Small pillows. My friend also stayed a few weeks before I did and she got a free breakfast by clicking "something" and I could never find it. She paid the same as I did. Just saying maybe should be a little more clear. nothing. Located in an area with no close by good restaurants. Just chain restaurants nearby. Would like a good dinner option of salad and salmon. Or something of the sort. Location isn't the greatest. Liked everything. The resturant was rather pricey. And the pool did not have an adult only time. Pool was very dirty, murky, food was good but kinda pricey. Couldn't check in until 4... not much i can critize. No continental breakfast. spartan rooms (prefer traditional comforts over lodge style). Nothing. Shower water pressure so high, made bathroom all wet.... Felt good in it though. Liked it all. I was expecting a little more fancy than it was. Old fashioned TV's -- NO HD. Was offered an upgrade and never got it. When I asked about it at check in they just said we are full. They are the ones that made the offer to me. Don't make the offer if you can't do it. The front desk people were stuffy and unaccomodating. The room pricing was unjustifiable. I have stayed in the lodge 6days in the last 4weeks. I will stay one more time the week of 12/8 and then I will look for alternative lodging with the same quality for less money.
