- Made the dumb mistake of double booking twice and the staff was very nice and understanding - despite other reviewers comments my King room with Spa bath and single room with bathroom were clean - location is so great. 5 minute walk from Sunnyvale Caltrain - best value in San Jose. If your staying in Silicon Valley it's the best deal. The great location and low cost in the dormitory type rooms equaled great value. Previously, these same 2 benefits allowed me to work locally in Sunnyvale without a daily commute of 90 miles to my residence in the North Bay. I stayed at Pacific Inn for 4 days per week without interruption for 3.5 years through August 2012.
all reviews » This is close to some of the important attractions in San Francisco. Thus, it was very convenient for me to go around. Pricewise, it was a nice deal. Staff were friendly, too. I liked the room choice, which was on the first floor, and it was fairly quiet. The shared bathroom was just down the hall from my room. Parking was also very convenient. Convenient location, at a very competitive price. Good to be so close to Historic Murphy Street. Parking, wifi, breakfast included, daily room servicing. I stayed this hotel in very long time. Price is good, as you know, it is one of the cheapest hotel in sunnyvale which includes simple breakfast. Location is very good. I could take caltrain and could go to san fransico or san jose. Also take CA237 to go to east of california. There is Target and Macy's near the hotel. You could see some weekend market in murphy street, it is worth to walk around. Morning breakfast. Location. Inexpensive, location near CalTrain and Open Market, basically safe neighborhood. There was some smell of smoking, though. It would be better that the aisle floor was cleaner. The rooms are small but balance that out against the price and you get what you pay for. Wifi drops out & is slow, in room fridges are noisy and outside noise can be easily heard. Very old. Dirty carpets. Stingy with towels. Shared bathroom. Most light bulbs not working. ----. Tight quarters broken items non working light switches asked by other guests to supply drugs. in room phone did not work. 1st, hotel is very old. 2nd, there is no one to fix broken facility which includes air conditioner, hair dryer, microwave oven, it is your fortune to get good one to work well. If you want to stay clean and luxurious hotel, you should pay more money. But if you don't enough money and endure some inconvenience, it will be good choice. Complete cleaning just weekly once. I think they were decptive. Hallways smelled awful. No bath towel. Breakfast was...not - even the coffee was just so-so. Not a place I would bring my wife. Dirty, broken items, light switches don't work, hair in shower and on blanket, trash and dirt under the bed. place is a filthy beat up flea bag of a hotel. Gross carpet,pillows, sheets, room....awful. The room was very old and out dated. There was a baby wipe or something of the sort left on top of a lamp shade in the room. The room smelled like cigarettes and the shower faucettes came off in my hand. The older staff aren't very cheerful and welcoming. The quality of the room is not worth the price. Do not stay here!! I stayed here two nights. When I checked out I went to the lounge area in the lobby to charge my phone so I could get directions to my next destination. They told me I cannot 'use their electricity because I am no longer a guest'. I think this is the rudest hotel in the Valley. I also saw the receptionist shouting and being mean to an elderly couple that were checking in, I felt very sorry for them. Pacific Inn is a dump - I will never stay there again!! Staff barely speaks English - the place is a flophouse!. The smiles. The restroom. The shower. Yuck!!!. It was old - curtains on windows were falling off - the bed sagged - there was mold in the shower - being a single female I was very nervous in the location - the room was bery poorly klit - parking is a problem. The furniture was old and marked by cigarette burns although it was a non-smoking room.There was also marks on the desk from people who used sharp material to sniff drugs ! The rooms are not well insonorised so we had to sleep with earplugs. In the lobby, there was a notice that a chemical substance in the hotel could be harmful to humans and cause effects such as cancer and sterility. The person at the front desk and people working in the hotel had no idea of what this notice was about !. The carpet in hallway and rooms was horrible. I have never seen dirtier carpet anywhere. Ughhh. Phone didnt work. Iron in the room was shot. Place is overall quite dirty and run down. Shouldnt be in letsbookhotel.com even as a 1 star. Carpeting absolutely gross, and we are not picky. It would be gross by Central Asian standards. Toilet overflowed, staff came up and handed me a plunger and Two towels! Wi-fi didn't work. Paid extra for jacuzzi tub. Couldn't use because of flood in bathroom. very poor staff .. dont respect the guests.. It was dirty. The sheets were old, yellow and had hair on them. There was a cockroach. The floor was dirty, it smelled like smoke. The facility was dirty, old, seemingly moldy. Rooms are small. Everything. this is the worst hotel I stayed I have ever stayed in my life so far. Though I made the reservation for non-smoking room, cigarette smell was stinking all over the room. Would never return to any Pacific Inn hotels. Everything. The place is filthy. All carpets are stained. My room carpet was badly stained as was all fittings and furniture. On my floor as you got out of the elevator there was a bin that was always full. The smells were very pungent. Dirty, small room, short and too soft bed, unfriendly staff. In short, all was horrible and not worth it even though it was very cheap.
