The hotel room was comfortable, clean and just the place to be after 16 hours of travelling. Facilities within the room were up to date and in good order. Close to Springfield airport and easy to navigate to. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out was achieved with a minimum of fuss and was relatively painless. Hotel was Located on old Route 66 which we Used to travel back and forth during the 50 's. from the east coast to the west Coast , before the interstate system was completed. The hotel brought back good memories.
all reviews » I loved this place. On Route 66 it has been restored to its glory days. The rooms are 1950's style and display a little bit of history from then to now. They are clean and comfy and the staff are super friendly. I came into town early needed to take a shower before I went to bowl. Let me check in early so I could do this.the desk person was extremely nice and very helpful. I will stay there again next year. Breakfast was very good. Staff was excellent. Decoration of reception building was route 66-style and it was very well preserved. Wifi was good. They were very accomodating. We needed a dvd player and extra blanket. The staff member went out of his way even though they were very busy. Billy at the front desk was awesome! he went above and beyond to be informative and make our stay fun. I will gladly come back. On the route 66 tour. Good for overnight and one meets other persons making the tour, either by the Harley bikes or by car. This hotel was clean and tidy. The room was just right. wifi was good. Staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast. Good value, clean and comfortable. It was close to our destination and the reason for our visit to Springfield. We liked the historical charm of the Rail Haven Inn and the Route 66, and that Elvis once stayed there. Very nice place right on old 66. Many restaurants nearby (including the first shake 'n stake). Old cars parked there as attractions. Breakfast room and outside eating area very nice. Cleanliness. Good place for a stop over for a night. Close to Bass Pro. The rooms were very clean and very nice. We would stay there again. The room was clean and fresh. The TV and furniture were up to date. This is a quaint older establishment with a Route 66 nostalgic flair and good location for activities in the downtown Springfield area. Clean & comfortable room that had been updated. Staff were very friendly. location and price. Bteakfast. location. The area around the hotel appears a bit run down. The breakfast area was to small for the amount of guests having breakfast. It was very crowded and there werent enough seats. Also if your use to a Best Western hot brekky you don't get it here. the breakfast area could really use more space but the breakfast was very good. Queen size bed for two people was too small. I felt it was a bit pricey for a motel. Although clean and comfortable there weren't enough amenities to justify $80 a Night. Plastic cups!. From a personal standpoint, the toilet stool was too low. Also the bed was hard to get out of. I am handicapped and cannot stand up by myself without aid. The pillows were like a ball. We usually bring our own pillows from home, but forgot them this trip. Fortunately, we were only on a one day trip. No place in bathroom to set things- cosmetics, toothpaste, razor, etc. A shelf above stool would be good. Not enough room in breakfast room. Did not have any good TV stations to watch. Could not get any movie station. The room was small but for one person it was adequate. Nothing. Shower head was bad. I could hear the couple in the room next to us snoring. The room was $40 cheaper booking through letsbookhotel.com than from the hotel themselves. Room on the back with no view. hot tub ,pool area not available. Business travelers should not count on the free WiFi service working properly; it was difficult to access and would lose connection within 2-3 minutes of accessing. Plumbing is old so the water pressure varies depending upon who else in the building is using water… shower would go from hot to cold and back to hot. Heater/AC was an older unit with a musty smell and extremely loud! Definitely overpriced for what I got. Poor door seal Let flys and moths in. Bottom sheet of bed would not stay put. very small room,long walk to reception.
