New carpets, in-room refrigerator, tv, ac , and coffee maker. Free breakfast included waffles and gravy/biscuits. Accommodated early check in. A very easy find , and some shopping food and very safe. Hot Water, New Carpet, Nice job on remolding of Lobby,. very nice, halfway between gatherings of family. The staff was very accommodating. There was a fridge in the room, free cable and a free breakfast.
all reviews » Hotel is being remodeled so should get better. Clean, considering it was being remodled. The only thing that I can say positive was the staff when we checked in and called were friendly. The staff tried to be helpful and was apologetic for the state of our room. New carpet in room. Close to state fair. Reasonable cost. Smoking room. Website listed other amenities not available, needs updating. Nothing for the price you only can expect so much. I just love the amount of clerks in the stores and hotels for asking information. Too many blank chanels on the cable selection, North door entrance not secure did not lock. not easy to access. The construction was loud till they quit 4 the night. The air conditioner didn't work in our origional room but the staff was Great & quickly got my handicapped husband into another room! We did however forget his back pillow... :(. Housekeeping had not done a good job: bottom of tub was dirty, dust on furniture, cobwebs in windows. Breakfast was all carbs, no protein. Parking lot was littered. Crummy pillows and not enough pillows. Bed was hard. Room needs more outlets. Bkfst was only unhealthy and unappetizing offerings. Cold water for showers, bathroom dirty, breakfast was below average. Disappointed with the price of the room for what the room was. The other people with us made the comment that we will not be staying there again. Also did not try to compensate for our bathroom situation. I am not a fussy traveler, but this room was awful. it ties for worst room I've ever been in, and that one was a "rent by the hour" dump I stayed in in Cleveland, OH, when I was so tired I couldn't drive anymore, 15 years ago. Remodeling front entry. Front desk was in the breakfast area. Hallway carpet filthy. Breakfast almost nothing to eat. No bath towels. Carpet in room was wet. Not very clean. They should have told us they were re-modeling. Our carpet in our room & hallway was filthy with dried up mud & screws. And our a/c unit in the room, had a 2"gap around the side & top where you could see the outside. They did come vacuum our room & stuffed towels in the gaps. But, we will never stay there again!. Dirty bedsheets that obviously were not changed. Manager supposed to call me for adjustment to my bill. Never did. Dirty sheets, room dirty, smelly, they never cleaned all days there. Also charged me 5.00 for a safe I didn't want! Would never stay again. Also outside lighting very poor.
