I liked the quirkiness of the hotel, with it's weird themed rooms and completely different inspired everything. From it's pink dining room to the towel hooks in the bathroom. The carpet was really soft. I know that sounds weird, but it was probably the most cushy carpet i have ever walked on. We love going to the Madonna Inn over the holidays. The atmosphere is festive, the food is great, the accommodations are clean and comfortable, and it is so nice seeing people of all ages having such a good time together. It has become a tradition with us.

Our waiter in the Copper Cafe was proudly knowledgeable about everything relating to the Madonna Inn and took us on a short tour of the Steak House and Bar. A delight. The locaton near Morro Bay. The uniqness of the buildings. The enchanting dining room. The food was quite good. The room was comfortable enough. Out of town but close enough. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is ascetically pleasing and extremely well managed. It was a delight from beginning to end. I would thoroughly recommend the spa. I went to school at Cal Poly and that was over 30 yrs ago. I love that you renovated the rooms, but still have that old classic charm. Great job!. Staff from the front desk to the housekeepers were all very friendly and nice. Very nice bartenders and wait staff in the dining room. Our second trip this year and will be there each month. Our perferred unit is 117, so we will be back the first week of each month. Quirky design, easy to find, lovely layout, fabulous pool/spa, excellent food, fun to stay at, free parking and Wifi. The christmas decorations in the dinning rooms were out-standing. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful, room was clean. Best place I've every stayed. Uniqueness of rooms. Cooper Cafe is great, rooms are quirky as expected, staff is friendly and helpful. The stone shower was nice. The decorations in the restaurants were fun. the individually themed rooms, the pool and the general ambiance. Pool and Bar was very nice. The bathroom was very nice. The convenience from Higuera Street to the hotel!. The pool was very nice heated great location. IT is a very unique hotel. It is weird looking and has pink all over the place. I think that it was overpriced for a room. I think they could stand to be a little bit more affordable. The bed was a pillowtop but it was lumpy and slanting downwards on the head of the bed. There is nothing we can say that is negative. That is why we keep going back as often as we can. Our Courier and Ives room was a great disappointment. We thought we had reserved a rose-colored room (the item we checked when we reserved the room online.) Sadly, we were wrong. If there was free wifi included I couldn't get it connected. Frankly it is overpriced. Couldn't stay longer and go horse back riding . That there was no indication that there was no elevator. At check it was offered to have someone help with luggage but this should have been part of the hotels description. No lifts to second floor, only 2 outside spiral staircases. The housekeeping could have been better. Dirty glasses were left on the table. The light outside the room was on all night and the blind on the window in the door did not do much to stop it. The light shines into the sleeping area of the room and makes a restful sleep very difficult. Suggest a better window covering so that the Pom can be adequately darkened. Was treated disrespectfully in the coffee shop but didn't say anything because people eating alone are often treated as if they aren't there. Not a romantic getaway. Rooms are creepier than expected. Our room was Rocky Mountain. It was small, and our bedspread was gross polyester out of the 60'S. No counter space around our bathroom sink. We paid $57 for a normal breakfast. Unique hotel, but it was over priced for little luxury. The pasta meal in the cafe was almost in edible and grossly overpriced. Kids. The shower/sink handles didn't fit the bathroom theme. Over priced. Rooms don't look like pictures. The fact that check in was not until 4 pm and check out at noon.....no time to enjoy the pool in the afternoon after check in. :-( Not enough parking near our room. Had to create our own spot outside the designated lines. No room refrigerators. Carpet in room was wet and dirty. They changed our room after pointing this out to them. (Should have known)No dresser no counter in bathroom only a small ledge. Towels felt like sandpaper. Toilet kept running. Filthy ash tray just out my non smoking room Walls were thin heard next room snoring. It is quite tacky.
