Ideal location. My experience made me want to move to san diego. Staff had great recommendations, from cheap parking to good seafood. Great, clean rooms..the bed was more comfortable than my own bed at home. My wife, having never stayed in a hostel, was hesitant about this before we arrived, but ultimately she loved it and we'll be staying here again on another long wkend from la. Excellent position in the middle of nightlife (by the way we had a room looking in the inner patio and we didn't hear a voice from outside). Nice habit of the hostel is preparing one's own breakfast in the kitchen!.

The location is EXCELLENT, right smack in the centre of the bustling Gaslamp Quarter. Great value for money, there are also great activities for visitors to help them meet people and experience the city. The staff was really helpful,providing us a lot of useful information especally about the parking lot.The location is really good,near a lot of restaurants and bars. The location was brilliant and the staff were really helpful. Also great to have a kitchen and they provided a simple breakfast. Overall fantastic value for money. I stayed in a room with private bathroom. The room was spacious and clean. Nice public area. Adequate breakfast. Everything was really old new drapes in the rooms needed super load --lots of noise from street. There are no twin rooms. The air conditioner didn't work well, and the window could not be opened. It was a little noisy but this was more than made up for by the central location. Wifi wasn't strong enough inside room. nothing!!!. bed mattress too soft, street noisy, simple breakfast. No safes, fairly noisy due to old windows. Our room back out on the San Diego night life, good if your in the city for the night life but not so great if not. It was a bit noisy at night.my room. no air-conditions, problem with parking. Paying for internet Lack of parking..waking up early to make sure that I didn't get a ticket Shower head leak which sprayed water out of the enclosure onto the ceiling and onto the floor. room the smell of chineese food. street noise on weekend nights. noisy. 1.the dependencies of hostel mostly had a very bad smell; 2.The showerbox doors stall were totally damaged and often fell upon us when we showered; 3.Breakfast wasn't so bad, but it could have simple things like yogurt, banana or juice.
