The amenities are exemplary. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The rooftop bar alone is worth the journey. The restaurant meals are delicious and affordable. The decor is fun and whimsical. Perfect location for attending a show at the Pageant. Loved it!!!. The staff was beyond excellent! While visiting Wash U we got stranded in a snowstorm. No taxis no buses. I called the moonrise hotel and the general manager came to pick us up! Wish we could have walked around the loop but it was a snowstorm ... Will come back again.
all reviews » Great room for the price. Up to date amenities. Very modern, very friendly staff, super easy parking. Restaurant and roof top bar are great added bonus. Location great too, many attractions within walking distance. Will definitely stay there again. One of the best hotels in which my wife and I have ever stayed. Extremely comfortable rooms and very helpful staff make this a great choice. Another plus is the location: in the Delmar Loop area and close to a Metro station. What a great hotel!. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The bar has great designer drinks and knowledgable bartenders. The rooftop lounge is fun and is beautiful at night. I love the atmosphere--the stairway, decorations, furniture, etc. We stayed in the Virginia Mayo suite. It was fabulous! The bedroom was wonderful, as was the bathroom. Shower was fabulous. The front desk staff was very friendly, as was most of the valet/outside staff. My first impression was excellent as I was greeted with a "Patron and fruit juice" upon checking in. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Hotel was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Fabulous stay. The service was personal and terrific. Security (access to floors, rooms) was also. The interior design was unique and fun. Small, intimate, good restaurant. Fabulous access to Washington University. The bed was great, and that's extremely important as I don't sleep if it's not! Going up or down. Not a huge deal though. A little noisy at night. The service and food in the restaurant (Eclipse) is not very consistent. Sometimes it's great and other times not so great. The music in the bar/restaurant is too loud and would appeal to only one group of people. Something more neutral would be nice. The key slot in one of the elevators did not work, so anyone could have gained access to the sleeping room floors. One of the outside valet attendants was obnoxious. My husband was trying to help restock the coffee pods in the lobby, and the attendant rushed over to tell him that "other people are waiting and were here before you" -- like he was trying to go to the front of the line. It kind of soured the day for us, but the hotel stay was otherwise wonderful. The rooftop bar and club was extremely noisy on Sat.night and we asked to have our room changed the next day. The ONLY problem I had was with pillows. They were all too big and squishy. I opted to put a pillow case on the decorative pillow (the long flat one) and that worked. Parking leaves a little to be desired but not enough to make me go somewhere else. nothing. I contacted the front desk for a wake-up call - unfortunately that call never came. Good thing I wasn’t late for my appointment... One dirty coffee mug on the platter, and I would suggest that they put at least two feather sleeping pillows on each king bed. a pool would be nice. parking was bad, had to pay for valet parking. Noisy drunk people in the hall at 3am after the rooftop bar closed. there is nothing i don't like at the moonrise. Everything was perfect!. Walls are like paper. Could hear everything that went on in the hallways and adjacent rooms. A bit too pricey for what you get. Too crowded with weddings on weekends. Only 1 elevator working which made for waits, especially with the weddings on the weekends. Rooms are small with a weird sliding door that was the bathroom/closet door. Everything was great; we have absolutely no complaints. Visited the roof top bar and stayed for about 45 minutes without anyone greeting us - can't sell drinks like that! And if it is self serve, signage could be used to let one know that. noisy early morning up on the roolf. nothing. I only wish you had magnifying mirrors in the bathrooms. No pool and one of the elevators was out our entire stay. Pricey. Front desk staff is good but need a little more "personality". Some were "just there" and looked bored which does not do your hotel justice. Not much... Need more breakfast room service items.
