The place was great. We were there for 2 nights. The place is between the Columbia River Gorge and Downtown Portland and very easily accessible by the I85 freeway. You definitely need a car. Overall great place to spend your time in Portland with about 15 min drive to the downtown which shouldn't be a major problem. Good restaurants, banks and convenience store at a walkable distance. Seven 7 next door, Safeway next door. Good breakfast - Bread, Waffles, Cereal, Bagels, Good Coffee. EXCELENT ST.
all reviews » We were concerned when we read some of the other reviews but in the end it was a good choice as it was only a 10 min commute downtown with transit close by. No problems with wifi and with the black out blinds on the windows the room was sufficiently dark. Breakfast was great and overall experience was positive. Would stay here again if we're in Portland again if we're looking for basic value accommodations. The little pillows were comfy. Hubby said breakfast selection was nice. Bed was wonderful. Room clean and adequate. Greeted upon arriveal nice. The rooms were very nice, classic decor with couch and living area, refrigerator and micro wave and pool. loved the room it was big and beautiful, very comfortable bed also.the breakfast was also enjoyable!. Safe and comfortable hotel. Big rooms and very accommodating staff. Very good price for the room. As a result of the extremely slow check-in, I was upgraded to a jacuzzi suite. Convenient location. Some of the common areas need a little tlc such as the stair coverings and paint in the halls, etc. Rooms are ok though. Couch. Needs to be thrown out! Asked for additional chair, only had a plastic one from pool area. Hot tub and sauna not working. T.V. chan els poor. The spa was out of order and the continental breakfast was as sparse as any I've ever experienced. was looking forward to using the pool and spa but they were both closed. but the sauna was nice!. The TV's are ancient and it's about a 20-minute drive to downtown Portland. Very slow check-in and low quality pillows on bed. Ice machines were out-of-order except for the third floor. TV is time to change. Breakfast room had inadequate power source to keep toaster, waffle iron and coffee pots working. Staff had to neglect front desk to work in the breakfast area, and vice versa. toilet could not be flushed,a handle was missing, then changed a room for us. Wish the towels were softer. Breakfast ended WAY too early for a weekend. Selection for breakfast was minimal , coffee tasted old, jacuzzi doesnt work this is the third time we stay here in two months and it still doesnt work. Spa was nonfunctional. Shower curtain rod (rm. 407) was loose at the walls & allowed H2O to go onto floor. TV guide did not compare accurately with actual TV chan- nels. I made the reservation through letsbookhotel.com and when I checked in there were no reservations in my name. Thankfully there was extra rooms available. The staff was absolutely horrible. They told us late check out was at 1 and then called is at 11:30 to tell us it was actually 12... So we had to rush out. Also, when checking in it took nearly 5 minutes for someone to show up at the desk and another 10 minutes to check in... The process should be faster. Breakfast was also not great. My reservation was quoted $203.00 when I checked out they insisted in charging $228, and it wasn't due to Sales Tax. felt ripped but I needed to get to a apt, but it makes me question if I will use your reservation service again. Distance from city. Didn't like the neighborhood. Breakfast was lousy. There was no fitness room, no pool. The breakfast was not a breakfast, four dried up oranges and some dried muffins! Our door did not work, we had to slam it before it would close. Our room key had to be changed three times because it did not work. I asked for a government rate and was not given one. I booked a suite and there was no way of cooking my own food. Even the people who were at the front desk did not seem to have a great deal of knowledge. I was really dissapointed!. telephones in room had no dial tone. I consider that dangerous. alerted them 3 times in 2 days with no resolution., shower head was broken and unable to shower..again alerted staff to situation with no resolution. pool was cloudy and smelled so strongly of chlorine was unable to use it. dirty dirty dirty. Rooms were a bit dated; television was old and static. The first room we checked into was in disrepair. The continental breakfast had poor and unhealthy food options. Upon checkout the clerk was treating customers disrespectfully. The surrounding area had a lot of drug activity. In room Appliances Did not work. Refer and Microwave lost some food items due to not working. Room needed alot of maintenance. Not enough pillows for a king room.
