Also, many locations have employees who post online posing as guests and give themselves a higher rating than deserved. In the case of Ourguest Inn and Suites Port Clinton, the online ratings didn't do the hotel justice. It was a cozy, clean hotel with very friendly staff and a small, intimate pool area that was perfect for a person who just wants to lay out and r.
all reviews » we needed a hotel close to the ferry for Put in Bay, and this hotel suited our purpose admirably. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel room clean and comfortable. Convenient location to Jet Express to Put-In-Bay. Priced right-good value Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to water. Gave us room earlier than check-in. Walking distance to many restaurants. Room was very clean, staff was friendly and the price was very reasonable. Upon request, we were moved into a new room in the main hotel. It was a totally different experience than the initial room! Our new room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is in walking distance to Jet Express and downtown restraurants and bars. There is a small playground across the street. Value. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. location was ok to ferry Pool. location. king bed. pool. The location was ideal. nothing. Bed was too firm but that's a personal preference. Nothing else. Ants in bathroom. Food on carpet from prior guests, no shampoo first night and then 0.2 ounce of shampoo per day for 2?!!. No tea bags which are cheap to put in a room. Room was a little dated as far as decor. everything store/restaurant closes at 6 pm. bedspread on bed really needed to be replaced It was well worn to say the least. Nothing. Couldn't find a remote control for the TV. Couldn't set alarm clock. Our first hotel room (in the detached back building) was dirty and had an overpowering mold smell, especially the bathroom. The walls needed cleaned and painted. There were 2 dead spiders and a smashed mosquito on the wall. The carpet had dark spots, not sure if they were mold or dirt. The hotel was apparently aware before our complaint as there was a large air freshener on the air conditioner and they promptly moved our room when we called. The Wi-fi service was also in and out. Bed Spreads were ratty. They needed to be replaced. The room was deplorable. It smelled terrible and was very outdated. The shower had low water pressure. I felt the rooms were way overpriced and rather dirty. The bedspreads were ragged. The carpet looked very dirty. Not worth the money at all. unbearable mold/mildew smell. obvious ventilation problems. No maintenance crew. Had to unplug the toilet, which was plugged before we got there, ourselves. No breakfast. It was way over priced considering the available services and amenities. Lot of money for little room.
