It was a great two-night stay and the right price! The free breakfast was especially good and the dining hall was nice. The location of the hotel for us was good.... away from all the congestion! We very much enjoyed our visit to Pittsburgh. It was like a nice house in a bad area. The room itself was nice and clean. Our trip was spur of the moment, so we sought less expensive accommodations. This fit the bill and outside of the negatives listed, I got my money's worth.
all reviews » The room was clean, accomodations were spacious and there was a very nice breakfast buffet. Though the location was not in the city, it was only a short drive away. It was great for us that breakfast was included and it was a really great breakfast. It made our stay so nice and made our morning much easier. The easy access to the hotel from the I-376 exit no.67 and the sze of the room. Also the breakast was very good for the value. Good service. Some modern upgrades. Clean and comfortable room. Safe parking. Ten minutes to major attractions. The price was great for the quality we got. It was clean and nice, not 5 star but we didn't pay for a 5 star. Value for the money. All that was almost a deal breaker. But the bedding was clean and the bathroom was clean. The shower was good too. Perhaps I just arrived at a bad time, but it felt understaffed. The hot water in the room didn't work and there was a broken lamp that was just unplugged instead of replaced. Many aspects of the public areas were dirty/rundown/broken. Elevator was slow and the stairs did not access the ground floor indoors. Weird lounge hours. I liked everything. The hallways wwere not very clean. Need to finish upgrades, very minor detail. Debris/dirty floor in the corners of the room on the carpet. Couldn't get heat adjusted correctly. Seemed to blow cold air then hot air. Woke up with sinus discomfort. No complaints :). The facility was a little run down. However, The value for the money was fair. Only one working elevator. Hotel needs updating...... hallways banged up! elevators too far away from certain rooms!. The elevator closest to our room was not working, and one of my sisters uses a walker. It would have been much more convenient for us if we could have used it. elevator could use some new carpet....that couldnt cost too much. no heat in dining room for breakfast. Nothing. The Hallways were dreary Only 1 Elevator working. Breasfast ham. Eliminate it. Try bacon ir sausage. Only one ice machine on 4th floor. Facilities could use a little TLC. letsbookhotel.com did not fax my reservation to the hotel. I had to call customer service and have that done 10:00 pm when I arrived. Took a while and was embarrassing. If no rooms were available, I don't know what I would have done. I was told by the hotel that the no fax of reservation issue was not uncommon with letsbookhotel.com. That was disappointing. Many facilities were not working, the ice machine on floor 2, exercise machines were out of order, main elevator was out of order, tv remote was broken, too many too list!. Poor location for dining, shopping and transportation. The first room we were given was horrible. On the first floor seemingly convenient, but it was very smelly like smoke and right put of the window was a garbage dumpster. This kind of room should never be assigned to anyone regardless of the daily rate. Pool was green and looked un-usable (we purposely booked a hotel with pool so we did not get our money's worth for this). Hall ways smelled musty, there was water damage, missing ceiling tiles and floor damage in hall near vending machines. When we checked out there was no one at desk to talk to about pool. Also sign not lighted so missed the turn into parking lot. Room's dust was more than imagined, especially under the bed. The fitness center was closed for repair. The front elevator was out of order. There were at least 2 ice machines out of order. The outside of the hotel looked as if it had not been maintained in a long time. There were numerous parking lot lights out. We had lots of trouble getting our door to lock so we could leave. The color and facilities need to be updated. The bed was horribly uncomfortable to the point were it was difficult to sleep on. The Free Breakfast was more than lacking even though it was free. The room was clean however the picture and the valance above the window were crooked. There was a cover missing from one of the electrical outlets. The television reception was poor and some of the listed stations were snowy. The lounge was only open from 5:00 to 9:00 and on Friday night of our stay it was closed completely due to a party. No hot water in sink & no cups or glasses in room upon check in. No hot water upon arrival. Water leak in ceilling right outside our door. Obviously was an existing problem so they should have placed guests in another location of the hotel. interior is old. needs updated. Bathroom had mold in shower. Elevator jerky. Wi-Fi did not work. Excercise room was "out of order." Ice machine and elevator were broken. Tv did not work properly. No restaurant. - lost bookings twice - Could get better spot rates than online. For some reason my toilet was not working. I called the front desk....no one came to fix it....I Decided it must be my job, so I evaluated the situation and realized the water to the toilet was turned off. I turned it on and it worked fine. We stayed 3 nights, after the first night our room wasn't made up until the last night. When we came in there was a rumpled up Klenex on the floor and it stayed there the entire time. The floor in the bathroom was dirty. Breakfast was terrible, unedible. it was simply "dirty". -The lounge should have served food. -The tv's need to be upgraded -we paid for the shuttle to take us to the game and did not even drop us off outside the stadium but 1 1/2 mile and we had to walk. If we paid the money for a shuttle it should do just that and shuttle to the game. -Urine was in toilet upon arrival-no toilet paper -Shower nozzle fell off. (All 3 guests had to take baths)-Reported at front desk (No accommodation) -Front desk very poor attitude. Room was dirty. Very dirty. Rip/cut wall paper peeling in bathroom. Soda or some other type of dried liquid on ottoman . Just generally dirty.
