The rooms were beautiful and very spacious. The staff was incredibly friendly/professional. They made me feel welcomed the minute I stepped my foot in the hotel. We were there to visit Salem and it was a very short drive to Salem. The free breakfast was actually very nicely done. I get nervous about free breakfasts at times but this one was legit and delicious! I plan on visiting Salem again next year and will definitely book with Springhill Suites again!.
all reviews » Staff was great...we left our Iphone & they immediately contacted us & shipped it back (at our cost of course). They were very accomodating & the breakfast buffet was very good with lots of choices. Coffee avail 24/7. Great pool & fitness center. Rooms were clean & very comfortable. We were totally satisfied with everything. All of the staff were friendly and courteous, more than ample parking, terrific room & furnishings, great breakfast and we love the refrigerator & sink in the room. It's a totally great value. The hotel was recently updated with a modern flair. The rooms were really clean, with very comfortable beds. The staff was incredibly friendly. We would definitely stay here again. I liked the fact that my son could stay on the pullout couch in the same room yet still be slightly separated by the partition. I LOVED the breakfast. Great variety!. the morning buffet was absolutely amazing the room was beyond clean very nice place will be staying here again. Friendly atmosphere. Round the clock coffe. Great breakfast. Didn't charge extra for roll out cot. Location for where we were visiting. Indoor pool even in winter. There were construction vehicles in the parking lot. Not sure if they are doing construction in the parking lot or renovating but I got a flat tire after leaving the hotel. Found a nail in my tire so made me wonder if I picked it up in the parking lot when I parked by the construction vehicles. It wasn't fun getting a flat on a weekend vacation but that scenario won't stop me from booking with them in the future. I didn't like that they charged my account an add'l deposit on arrival. I wasn't informed of this charge prior to my stay (even though I called ahead of time to re-confirm.) Would have been nice had they advised on the deposit & staff couldn't really give me a "good" explanation for the reason of the deposit. I did get the deposit back, however, had I not had extra in my account this could have affected my bank account. It's just a little thing but I think the towels could be a tad thicker. The location on Rte 1 is somewhat inconvenient because of the one way traffic. (Unavoidable. Same for all businesses along route.). The fact that there was construction going. Not really that detrimental. the hallway could have been quieter and the A/C had to be turned off because it sounded like a small jet. The pool is tiny, but at least there is one. Room temperature was a bit hard to regulate, but not terribly uncomfortable. Got woke up at 3am by a fire alarm some person caused to go off The place is somewhat far from Boston downtown and their is city and state tax which adds $17 to the total each night, expensive add on. Traffic on main road,not near enough parking spots,not enough seating for breakfast buffet. uncomfortable bed / pillows. Sweet was right off the elevator and heard the bell all night. jacuzzi was closed. Turkey sausage was bad. nothing. Air conditioner's controls did not work; was loud and evidently was not able to be fixed. Nothing was available in hotel to heat something in microwave even though ad said kitchenette (miss leading) Hotel was difficult to access. - room not prepared for special need as asked in advanced - room TOO noisy as the elevator ping is TOO loud - small pool too cold and full of noisy guests. Under construction No jacuzzi, it was empty. Staff not helpful, unable to take care of issues or respond to problems at all. New cable system installed but did not work and could not be fixed during stay. Although guest was out of room for over 10 hours staff did not respond to problem as was promised by them the night before.
