The closeness to the beach at a really good price. The family movies played every night by the pool and the snacks offered during the movie are also a plus. The room was clean and had a TV with a good channel selection, a small refrigerator and a safe. Free full breakfast every day. The staff was friendly and helpful. I loved everthing a beautiful place. Has the right name because it is paradise. Balcony view of the beach n ocean was awesome! Excellent service, clran rooms, one heated pool, and other pool with the waterfalls so beautiful top rated in our eyes a wonderful place.
all reviews » The weather was horrible during our stay, like a hurricane the entire visit...but we were still able to use the hotel facilities, the hotel offers many amenities, it actually reminded me of being on a cruise ship, except you are on land. Alot of fun for all. I have been to the beach every year for the last 23 years. This has got to be the best, Friendliest and most well kept place I have ever stayed. I will be staying here every time I go to the beach, Very friendly staff no problems at all. Loved it very much. waking up to the sounds of the waves. we had a great time, the hotel was fine, they had alot of things going on for the guest, movies, shows, we didnt join any of those, but we saw alot of familys who were. I would stay here again. I loved the location. My room was close to the pool and the beach with easy access to everything. I also liked how the grounds were always clean and cared for. Security was also very efficient and helped me feel safe. The room was very clean and the ocean front view from the balcony could not be any better. The location and beach are great. I will recommend to family and friends and would definitely stay here again. Closeness to the beach and every room has an ocean view. Lobby was very nice with koi pond and decorations! The pool was amazing with the waterfall and a bar right beside it was very convenient!. Loved the fact you have a balcony right on the ocean and room was private along with balcony and we could smoke on our own balcony and not have to expose other people to our second hand smoke. The room as very comfortable and nicely decorated and clean. The front staff was excellent, especially Alicia. Great location and view. I enjoyed it even if it was raining. Thank you. The view was amazing! The pirate was incredible! Check in and check out was easy. Always saw staff cleaning outside of doors. Really liked the few parking spots that were cocered. Price was reasonable, room was outdated but comfortable. View of ocean was excellent. Breakfast was acceptable. Proximity to restraunts and entertainment was excellent. Right on the beach, clean pools, decent rooms, nice staff. Our room overlooked the beach. The air was already on when we got there so the room was nice and cool. Bed was comfortable, room didn't smell, personnel was friendly, loved the amenities eg. outside movie and pool for kids, proximity to beach, and good location!. It was a great 4 days easy access to the beach all staff was very friendly and easy access to stores for shopping. I differently will be back next year. I loved that the beach was right outside the room. It was great! I liked looking out the window or the balcony and seeing the waves crash. The view. We were able to enjoy the beach right from our room. We would go and pick up dinner & eat it on the balcony. So peaceful. I liked that we were on the beach, and we got there a little early and they worked with us to get us in a room as soon as possible. Room was very nice and accommodating with some extra conveniences such as the iron and ironing board, hair dryer and refrigerator. The view from our room was beautiful and the waterfall pool with its poolside bar and delicious margaritas was wonderfulness. Older hotel that shows some wear, but has been maintained and is comfortable!! Staff was friendly! We will stay again!!!!. The access to the beach couldn't been better. The hotel does a pretty good job with accomadations. Its family oriented. loved the pool with the waterfall, loved the MC playing music and the pirate was fun for all the kids. loved the location. The location was great for beach access. I like the fact that they allow a one night stay when your just passing thru and want a day at the beach. Amazing location right on the beautiful beach. The building is noticeably old and outdated. Moisture condensation inside the room was also a problem one of the nights. No complaints everything was perfect. The one thing I was disappointed in, the hotel had no Wine..But that was taken care of with a liguor store being directly across the street!. The waterfall pool needed to be heated and the other pool was heated but not warm enough due to the cold temperatures outside. I also would have liked a place to purchase food for the kids without leaving the grounds. Really nothing bad to say. Elevator was dark and smelled like burning wires and is hot. Their parking lot is Small with Not much parking. My car got hit twice in the five days we stayed. They did not give us a printout of room locations and etc. had to find on our own. And elevator stayed out of order a lot had to use to the stairs to take our luggage to car when we were leaving. The lobby and breakfast area did not open until 8:30!! That is extremely too late especially when on a vacation and you are ready to start your day. The muffins were stale every day. Everything else was just ok. The bed was very uncomfortable and extra pillows never came. We were not interested in the nightly movie but our room was one door down from the movie screen wall. From 8-10 pm the movie sound is annoying. When we stay again we will request a room on right side away from the falls. The far right side looking from the street is the quiet side. There was a little construction going on but it did not negatively impact us. The shower wasn't awesome, the shower head was pretty short and the towels sucked. Corners in Bathrooms had caked mold, backdoor was broken, and carpet was disgusting! Parking was terrible - barely could get through the parking lot and at one point was blocked in by another car. The noise from the other guests enjoying themselves. I understood they were having a great time but they woke up my son. Nothing. Loved this hotel. Housekeeping cleaned room late. Air-conditioning unit was noisy and walls to outside noise in hallway, upstairs and between rooms could have been more insulated to buffer the noise. Bathtub was dirty and needed a good scrubbing. the rooms were not so clean they could use a good dusting all over especially the headboards but for the money it was fine. Needs a little updating. Needs a better housekeeping and kitchen crew as well but not to a point u can't deal with it. Had to ask for clean towels the next day. Housekeeping did not come. didn't like that we had trouble parking , too many ppl for the parking they have. The hotel looks a little run down and dated. The floor was a bit sandy. They toilet was broken although the maintaince man had it fixed within 10 minutes. Our room sorta flooded up to the bed from rain blowing in and so our suitcases etc got wet. Thankfully our clothes were okay. Hotel is a bit dated. If there was a negative it was the parking which was hindered by construction. I felt the price was way to expensive for the motel that it was. I would put the value closer to $110 rather then $170. The breakfast left a lot to be desired even for a continental breakfast. Some fresh fruit would have been nice and maybe a waffle maker. The price was a little high, which hindered us being able to financially enjoy other things in panama city because im a single mom and we had never been on vacation, so i didnt know exactly what to expect but I would defiantly come stay again at the Paradise Palms. sand in room might be prevented by a rug by door, or at least a towel - that's what we put down to wipe our feet. parking was a chore, not enough! lot of staff did not speak English. Need better free breakfast. It was a little expensive. Tracking the sand into the room! The hotel should place a door mat at the door that leads out to the beach to wipe your feet. There are areas of the hotel that look outdated like the reception are. It has a pirate theme so the tinted mirrored walls look strange. Water in the shower would get hot then cold other than that everything was good!. Bar needs the ability to use credit cards. the loud music, the partyers very loud late nite! not enough handycap parking. at busy times parking was limited. Said they had wi-fi but unable to pick up signal except in the internet cafe. There was gum left in the bathroom. There was no iron in the room. The rooms are a little dated and the beds are a bit uncomfortable. breakfast was very limited; could add fruit and and other items to make it more interesting.. went out instead. Not a big deal but the latch gates to enter and exist the property from the beach are a pain to open when carrying your beach items. I don't see what purpose they serve.
