We liked the relaxed atmosphere; the fact that there were pools on the golf/villa side as well as tennis courts, golf course, and a basketball court, was excellent! We could walk around the "neighborhood" without having to worry about the Spring Break traffic on the road so it offered a safer alternative. We have sayed at Edgewater off/on since the 80's and will continue to make plans to stay there again.
all reviews » I like the resort is on the beach and ocean view was amazing.staf was very friendly and helpful. We had a condo apartment and the balkony door had problem.the service guys come right away .Few minute later they moved us for safety reason from one bedroom condo in to bedroom delux l lovet the appartment.Edgwater staff was very very cocern to make your vacation on the best way . Truly loved the hotel. We loved the private pool for each section of villas, the trams that pick you up and drop you to and from beach. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The food at Oceans Bar and Grill which is the on site restaurant was delicious and the drinks at the poolside bar were really good. True resort, we loved everything. Stayed on the golf villa part which was across the street from the beach which was still nice. They have Trams to transport you all over the resort. Very friendly workers, they were always so patient and nice. The room was very spacious and clean. coming from a past hotel cleaner, I inspected it from head to toe and all checked out good to me. It was very nice! Like home away from home! Relaxing, fun, our room had a beach view, tram service to other parts of the resort. You wouldn't have to leave the resort if you didn't want to. They had it all!!. we had the best time ever . fun for the kids 6ys old and 10 mouths . the beach plus the pool with a lot of things going on for the kids to do . safety on sight at all times. everything was beautiful condo and grounds and pool. people was very helpful with anything and everything we needed. will rent again whenever we are in panama. Location great. Stayed in the villas which were dated but clean and comfortable. Our villa was ready on arrival and we checked in early. Staff was excellent. We liked the location. We stayed in the golf villages and the boys enjoyed riding in the golf carts to the beach/pool. We really enjoyed our pool. Condo was clean and comfortable. All appliances worked well and kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for a few days. I liked the room it was nice to be able to eat and not have to go out and the view was perfect with the beach. Was very happy with the size of the room and it had everything we could possibly need and then some. Service beach, front desk staff security and restaurant personnel great attention to the public. Facility and grounds beautiful. Loved the par 3 being free to those staying. great location. The condo was spacious and all our needs were met. We would definitely visit again. All the amenities, especially pools and food & drinks available poolside. The room as well as the neighborhood. I also liked the basketball court. Very nice pools and common areas. Restaurant had excellent breakfast. the beach, pools ,and hot tubs.oceans bar and grill. The very spacious rooms were like being at home. Convenience of Location for Cheer Camp. Close to everything, groceries, fast food, restaurants, go-carts. the rooms we had were very clean and spacious. We were on our honeymoon, but with my son along with us and it was nice we had separate rooms. The villa we stayed in was nice. Location was close by to everything we needed. Location is central to dining and new attractions. Nice beach. Beautiful sand. The lagoon pool was nice and easy access to the beach. close to beach and several pools were available. There really wasn't anything we didn't like. We did think the price per night was too expensive but we're hoping it was because of Spring Break. The thing l didn't liket is you paying for the ombrella in the beach and very expensive . No complaints!!. had a certain 'wet wood' smell at first, luckily we brought Febreze which made the room perfect. The hot tub could have been a bit hotter it was just a few degrees hotter than the pool. Honestly our stay was perfect so I'm just nitpicking. I'm 22 I loved it my parents loved it, my brothers who are 10 and 8 loved it. Good for the whole family. Carrying luggage up 2 flights of stairs. maybe the showers in the room . did not drain good at all . but I think that's with most places .. had a few water bugs in condo. and TV in livingroom did not have but one station that we could see. other than that everything was perfect. Beach chair rental was rediculous. Less expensive tobuy your own chairs and leave them behind! They wanted 200.00 for four chairs and an umbrella for the day. But we were able to pay 20.00 for two chairs for a few hours for one day-----definately haggle with them or go to walmart first. It was busy. The pool was packed so you had some challenges with getting a pool chair. I didn't like the check out time I would have liked to stay until noon or 1pm. I was disgusted with the how dirty the floors and dinning room table and the counters. Floors would leave your feet black walking for a few feet and the counters and table had some thing very sticky all over them. This is really disturbing due to the fact that they charged over $150.00 cleaning fee. My 2 year olds feet were literally black after walking on this floor for a few minutes. I did nor know that there is not daily clean service included on the price. Automatic cleaning fee, and fee so high. 60 for that size place is plenty. Would have liked at checkin for someone to go over inclusions, s.a. par 3 free, adventure zone free. had to call about par 3 and found out it was free. We have physical handicaps and the walk to the beach was too long. It would be nice to have a closer entrance for people with handicaps. Condo was a little out dated. The staff!. Room could have been cleaner. bad smell from dumster comes up by elavater. The hour and fifteen minute wait for the room. had to go offsite to buy basic items, coffee, milk, breakfast,. Let's start with price! $500 for this hole isnt worth it. I wouldnt stay there again for $100. The room I got looked nothing like any of the pictures on the posting. Old outdated dirty. Our a/c didnt work and the maintenance guy said we should just expect things to break. We booked an ocean front and got an ocean view almost a block from the sand. The list goes on and on. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. No maid service, no one cleaned our room, no appliances worked in our room, the shower did not drain, the three bedroom was not like the pick and if you reserve beach front you must confirm or they will place you in the villas across the street. We were supposed to have an ocean view and did not. when I questioned this I was told there was a difference between ocean front and ocean view. We were across the street in the villa's and you couldn't see the ocean with binoculars so not sure what the view part was. Also a charge for a "breakage fee" that we were not aware of. As adults we are mature enough to be careful with others belongings and we should not be penalized due to what people have done in the past. Price was not bad per night but the charge of a $163 cleaning fee is way too much to charge. They should somehow include that in the price per night stay or lower that fee. There is no way it cost that much to clean the place. Also when we went to the beach they expect you to rent their chairs and umbrella if you want to use them. I figure for the amount of money we payed to stay there; that should be included. Mold in room ceiling tile. Damp floor tile. The room odor. I sneezed for two days. Patio door was slightly open when we arrived. It took awhile to cool the room and dry it out. I live in Florida, it doesn't have to be that way. Our condo was old looking and out dated. The phone didn't work to call front desk . And the pull out couch was broken,. no linens for pullout couch, no blankets, poorly supplied kitchen in the golf villa, bad furniture on very small patio, too few towels for the number of guests, no info in condo to connect to the wi-fi. I have stayed at Edgewater in different condos before without these problems. Would never rent this condo again. The unit was not very clean when we checked in. Someone in the condo above smoked on the balcony the entire trip. I am allergic to smoke. I think it was over priced with all of the extra tax charges. The inside could have been cleaner. The tub was dirty bathroom wall was nasty. Hotel needs to be updated. The pricing. I thought there were a lot of extra hidden fees. The electricity went out on the afternoon of our last night and was not restored until the next morning a few hrs before checkout. The hotel staff was not prepared for the electrical outage. The staff were extremely rude and non-accommodating, making it a hassle to get my keys and room on time. They said they didn't "have my reservation" when I had already received a confirmation email. I will not be staying here again. We didn't like bed the tv and I thought it was high for what we stayed in. No one left clean towels I had to wash there towels for us to have clean ones. Mattress worn out no fitted sheets out dated furniture tub kitchen, dryer did not work took 4 hours to dry a small load of towels. room out dated - beds were very cheap and uncomfortable -heated pools were not heated during stay .Tons of noise-room had odor from being across hall from trash shoot .Not very clean inside room or around resort . The people were all so rude there. This is an older property. Do expect that some of the furnishings In the villas may be outdated. We would not recommend going to spring break. The beachside property is located next to the Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn has many spring breakers. Too expensive for what you got Not clean enough Falling apart Out dated. Kids pull fire alarm three nights in a row staff seemed unconcerned. I was charged the full amount of my stay a week before I arrived not per my reservation agreement. Thanks for the inconvience!. Room poorly designed, most outlets did not work, those that did plugs fell out. Sliding door on porch extremely difficult to open and close. Railing on porch bars to wide for small children. Tv in bedroom did not work. Roaches and lizards in the villa. Pictures on website did not match our villa.
