The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We loved that there were many dining options and we chose to walk to a restaurant. Parking was wonderful and the front desk staff was extremely helpful. Our two-night stay was very comfortable and we have decided to return to this hotel when we return to visit Yosemite. I liked very much the location. It is set back into a secluded alcove of Oak Trees and a small stream running near. It's very quiet but actually very close to all the amenities in the area. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was up to date and clean. That's all I care about when I travel.
all reviews » Staff had great suggestions for meals, groceries, etc. my teen daughter and I came alone the first week, and Dee (?) made us feel safe and comfy. She was making sure we came back from our daily ventures. Washer and dryer great!. The hotel is very nice, 15 minutes by car for the Yosemite National Park. The room was big and clean. The breakfast (included) was very good and rich. The staff was friendly and helpful. The receptiondesk : perfect, friendly , open people. We loved them and we did help bit when they needed some help for other customers to carry big size luggage. The Continental breakfast with the waffle was beyond expectations. I didn't need not the "real" breakfast afterwards like most of the motels I've stayed at. Desk person was fast and friendly. Room was large and felt roomy and comfortable. We will stay tHere again on our way to Yosemite. Good location. Large comfortable bedroom. Great receptionist - Desiree. Pleasant atmosphere. Swimming pool clean and good size. room is clean and stuff is quiet nice. location is a bit far from yesemite but in the town, can have some restaurant. Staff and location was great. The bathroom had clean, but won towels. Soap and smaller amenities like ironing board, a microwave which I though was genius, it . Staff were friendly and for the location and price it was pretty good. A big store and lots of take-out places in walking distance. Room was clean. This location has breakfast in par with Other good chain E.G. Super8, DayInns but other locations in ca have much worse breakfast. Pillows were too flat and hard. a bit commute to Yosemite. To many kids no place to set down for breakfast. Had to many kids per room. Nope. Not enough breakfast choices. noisy; people having conversations at 6 a.m. It should be easier (or at least possible) to find the drop-down for aaa discount online. When you get to the motel, they tell you they can't give you the discount if you didn't click on it when doing the online reservation. Not nice. The "Plastic" continental breakfast. Breakfast room a bit small but apart from this perfect. Kind of dirty. Not many chairs. one wash cloth and one hand towel for 2 people.. each person likes there own. parking. Need a bigger breakfast room. pillows were to flat. I did not like that the bathroom hat some really old and won out back wall by the toilet, making it look dirty even though it was not dirty. A bit old and tired. Our bath was cracked and leaked, our bed was like concrete. Too far from Yosemite Valley and the road to the park is very winding. Sheets too small, pulled completely off mattress, breakfast ok, saved only by waffles. No eggs, yogurt or oatmeal, all easy inexpensive things to include that would have made breakfast better. A fellow diner wanted a glass of water at breakfast and was told that none was available in the dining room. Come on, guys. breakfast facilities are poor - no choice and no space. It was expensive, but I think that all the hotels in that area are. It is old, maybe some renovations would be good. The breaksfast has very few opitions. Overpriced. Over priced for a hotel similar to a Motel 6 style, ants found in our room, toilet with hard water ring in the bowl looking very dirty, limited TV channels with 1-2 Kid shows,. Nothing to do with the motel, but if planning a weekend to Yosemite Valley, Oakhurst is just too far. Over 40 miles one way into Valley. I prefer camping or to stay in El Portal which is only 8 miles from the west entrance. I only stay in Oakhurst when I don't have other options. The finishes and fixtures are a bit dated, stained and worn. The lavitory faucet leaked. Carpet in the hallways was beyond service life, etc. Breakfast was crowded and could have more choices. Place was worn down & a bit grungy. Overpriced for quality. Poor selection for breakfast.
