The location was perfect, just steps to the beach. Multiple children's pools and splash pools for smaller children. The pools were in an open air covered area as well as outdoors without cover. The pool side bar was great with yummy drinks and reasonable prices and a credit can be added to your room to get your drinks poolside. No cash needed. The room was comfortable and spacious. Having a kitchenette was perfect. Doors separating sleeping area, kitchen and living area is ideal with small kids.
all reviews » Facilities were not new or terribly modern, but they were consistent and reliable. Maid was always sure to replace all of our towels daily. Location was very good and a great value for the money. Liked the variety of pools/hottubs, although several of the outdoor pools were closed and needed desperate attention (even though it was cold that week and the pools weren't being used heavily) Beds were comfortable and kitchen was a nice feature to have. Everything we needed was close whether we were inside our room or outside. Full kitchen was available but great restaurants were close by. Loved that my parking was free and the amount of pools there gave an option to enjoy different relaxation a and no overcrowded areas despite it being the peak of the summer. Also nice that laundry facilities were available which is a must for our family. The view was awesome and the staff was on point and very friendly. from management down to housekeeping and maintenence personel. The room was clean and organized. the replenishment from the housekeeping was great and courteous. Direction from the staff was always helpful and recomendation of sites. The pool and being right on the beach was the best. We liked everything..the view was amazing,the hotel room was perfect,the staff was very professional,the location to all of the establishments was perfect. What we needed was a get away and we got it. After my mother passed in august of 2013 my kids needed to go some where they have never been and it is still all they can talk about. I liked the fact there was a plethera of pools including a waterpark for the children. I also love the fact that we were right on the beach. Having a bar at the pool with music night was also nice. The rooms were spacious and the kitchenette was ideal for our family. Management was accommadating and took care of our complaints. Open pools for fun. Great location-close to lots of shopping and activities without feeling like you are in the heart of the city. Beautiful nice sized rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Family oriented. Well mantained. Was very pleased with the overall stay. Will definitely be back again next year during our cheer competition. My husband and I travelled with our 16 and 1 year old. The room was a nice size, clean, and functional for our needs. The kitchenette helped a lot with baby products and drinks. Having the utensils and dishware available was great. Playpen was provided for baby to sleep in and made up nicely. The rooms were very spacious, it had a compact kitchen unit. There was a large bathroom vanity sink and mirror. I like the balcony oceanfront view especially from the 9th floor. My kids and I really enjoyed the many indoor and outdoor pools. I like the deep drawer space for your clothes. I loved the location of the hotel. The ocean front view was very relaxing, minus the people letting off fireworks at 1 am on the beach was not very relaxing. I liked the variety of pools, but the hot tubes where right beside the parking lot, which can be a little non-private. Great ocean front room. Staff very friendly in helping me hook up with wi-fi. We really did enjoy our stay. Sea Crest is a pretty nice place. We would come back. Especially for a good discount. We don't get away very often together, so it was great. This was a very comfortable & relaxing environment. The view of the beach was very relaxing for my mother & I. Also, the noise level was excellent because there was no disturbances from the outside noise. I plan to return again one day. Access to several pools including grandchildren loved the children pools lot for them to do, karaoke ,tiki bar at near pools all employees very friendly and answered every question and exceeded our expectations, will stay there again and again. the rooms were big our room #433 was always clean and #428 was also clean --- many pools for kids of all ages was a plus --- loved lounge chairs on the lawn for those like myself that doesn't care too much for the sand - I will stay again. I loved the view. 14th floor ocean side was perfect. Guest services was there every step of the way. Parking was the best situation that I've experienced in some time when it comes to Myrtle Beach hotels. Thank you Sea Crest. I'll be back. We had a small issue upon check-in, the room they sent us to was not ready, they went above and beyond to make up for it though by putting us in a beautiful ocean front suite! Very nice staff, very professional. Great hotel and location!. The resort was nice. I liked the outdoor poolside bar area with a D.J./Karaoke guy on the weekend I was there. The coffee shop was nice. I liked that they had a small store at the resort in case you needed something and it was open late. Clean and comfortable. We had an oceanfront room with a balcony and a full but small kitchen. This hotel has everything you need for a fun family holiday. Walking distance to everything except the outlet malls and golf courses. The hotel was right on the beach and also had a plethora of pools, lazy rivers, and children's activity pools to keep you busy throughout the day. The hotel was located within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The view was amazing! We stayed on the 5th floor. There's a restaurant just outside of the check in office. Short distance from many attractions. I asked for a late check out and didn't have a problem with getting it. I like the hotel was close to beach and you do not have to drive. I was there on bike weekend and it was a lot of people but my room was good,I had problem with room key but they gave me a new room its a nice hotel. Excellent facility! My godson and his wife also stayed there, my other godson and his children also came to visit and we all enjoyed the amenities!! I had a wonderful time! Everything we needed was right at hand!!. The staff, Ms.Nancy was very friendly & upgrade our room since web are staying longer. The manager first time, wasn't but later on she was sweet too. Theb room was great, but the indoor pools not so clean. The facilities were great -- a kitchenette, a beautiful restroom, a full-size fridge. Strong wi-fi, great pools and lounges. They handled the heavy traffic well. Were well-staffed for busy check-in times. Location, great indoor pools and pools & lazy river for children. Comfortable beds, heating & air conditioning works great. Love the coffee rooms. Cleaning staff very friendly with great attitudes. Our room was clean and economical. The rooms were very well equipped as well as comfortable.One thing that would be very useful would be the addition of a garment hook on the inside of the bathroom door. Everyone who worked at the resort that we had contact with were very friendly and always helpful. I also found the room to be everything that it was advertised to be. The multiple entrances to the main elevator came in from the beach, pool, parking lot and often was very crowded to enter or exit elevator. Bathroom is very small and has a very low ceiling, so if you are over about 6'2", I would consider staying elsewhere. Outdoor pools needed some real cleaning and maintenance. That we have to wait til afternoon to check in but then be out so early when it's time to leave. This is not unknown though of course it's standard but while on VACATIoN would be nice if we could check out around 2 or 3. not being able to find a cart when departing. The guest hide them for theirselves the night before. Terribly need some up grading. Our microwave glass fell out and almost hit my feet. It shattered everywhere and we had to move to another room in the late hour. There was only 2 ice machices in a 15story hotel. Who does that?. Some very disruptive guests that were slamming doors all hours of the night. A group of kids that were at the pool unsupervised and were pushing other kids in the pool. Parking garage was a bit cramped for a van. It is built for small cars, not vans. Elevator got stuck with us in it at one point. Kind of wish that one more of the pools/wave pools were enclosed so that more people could enjoy them during bad weather. The no drinking in the pool/spa being enforced would have been nice. We wished the beds were queen size or at least firmer, a little springy. The furniture needs to be updated. The bathroom was updated but not the kichenette nor the bedroom furniture. Water pressure in shower was low. The elevators were too slow and the parking across the street in the garage was convenient especially if you came in late at night. The beds were hard as rocks. We got a double, and both beds left us with aching backs every morning. The day of check out, the beds had made our backs hurt so much, we both woke up at 3am and decided to leave/check out then. They really need to update the mattresses. Also the bathroom was so tiny, I can sit on the toliet, stick my feet in the shower and poke my head out of the door at the same time!! Water pressure and temperature was weak. Floor in room was sticky when we got there. We were in room 630 - one of the stove burners did not work. Deadlock on door did not work. When leaving, 2 elevators out of order. No hooks in bathroom to hang anything up. The parking arrangement wasn't the best because of having to park across the street. This really wasn't a big problem. Nothing to dislike. room #433 door had to be slammed to close and lock --- that needs to be addressed --- bathroom was small but other than that it was a great weekend vacation -- we will stay again. The only thing I did not like was our balcony had a column right in the center of it obstructing our oceanfront view. The next time I stay there I will know to specify that I do not want a room on the end with that column. We had to call the front desk a few times when needing additional supplies for the room (ex. towels, toilet paper). Would have like to have known the indoor lazy river was closed. On Sat sept 7th evening, the indoor lazy river and kiddie pool smell poop. Not enough handicap parking. Had to park across the street. Very noisy. No insulation. Elevators extremely loud and vibrating kept us awake. Constant squealing when running shower was extremely loud and irritating. Safe in room did not work at all. nothing. The only thing I didn't like was the layout of the hotel. It takes a few days to get use to. The fact that you dont get a discount for staying more than 1 or 2 nights. I think if you are a family staying for multiple nights, they should give a little bit of a discount. Also the checkout time should be extended until 12, to give people a little more time to pack up their things and get moving. Overall it was a very good place to stay and very family friendly and I will be staying in the future. All the threats printed on everything about how we would be charged for missing items. I don't steal and it made me suspicious and paranoid that I would get charged for items I did not take. What if items were already missing before I got there, I would not know about them and I would get charged for them. I don't cook on vacation and I didn't use any of the kitchen items but I had to take inventory and didn't even know what was suppose to be there to start with. Bathrooms are a little small. The hotel next door had very loud outdoor music that could be heard even when the balcony door was closed. The room doors are very heavy and hard to open and close. it would be nice to get to the pool without going outside. I think the kitchen could have had better appliances. Our balcony could have faced the beach instead of the hotel beside us. All rooms should be made the same. Really nothing that I could think of. Greenery obscured our view of the ocean from the pool area. We were not able to sit by the pool and see the ocean. Housekeeping issues the first week. We were told the regular staff who normally did our room was on holiday and our room was missed completely one day and two other days we only had towels thrown on the bed with no other items left or any cleaning done except garbage was emptied. The front desk was gracious and apologized sending our need items up right away. The room needs to be more clean especially the carpet and bedding!!. Sales pitch at the elevators each day limited parking in the garage at night limited breakfast options. That we only stayed for 4 days. Room needed significant maintenance. Toilet leaked; once opened the kitchenette drawer was very difficult to close; one of the a/c units was broken. Hotel was located in a very noisy part of Myrtle Beach; other than sandwhich shops we found no restaurants within walking distance. Pools were not heated. Pillows. Lack of handicap parking. Nothing we disliked!.. The smell of the elevator! Some people didn't shower before enter the pool and didn't wearing proper swim suit/trunk (only t-shirt and short they wore from walking from the street or room). The parking deck elevator did not working during pur 3 nights stay. I didn't like the fact that they did not have activities for the kids like beach games .. There was no activities at all :(. Nothing that I didn't like. When I check in it was a little late. The girl at the desk was not that friendly. She came off if she had an attitude because I didn't know my tag number. She was upset because I paid cash and with my debt card. Just wasn't very friendly. Parking.....there's not enough disability parking compared to guest check in parking.
