The location was fantastic. It was within walking distance of restaurants and right near the beach. Also, it was not near all of the other hotels so the beach was quiet and not crowded. It was very relaxing. The room was clean and had air conditioning and a nice porch so we could sit outside and have something to eat. The shower was great! It had excellent water pressure. Also, they let us have late check out and accommodated us when we asked for a room with a better view.
all reviews » The location is great, virtually on the beach, and we had a sea view. The room was comfortable and neat with a balcony, and the bathroom sufficient with a big shower. Complimentary coffee in the room which was great. The hotel is walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Owners very friendly. We stayed in the Queen suite. The jacuzzi and atrium were great. We enjoyed the view of the seashore and sound of the waves at night. The room was a good size. The staff responded quickly to bring missing items, and fix minor problems. Overall, it was a very relaxing weekend. The peace and the location The room was just great for that beach holiday feeling it had a nice atsmophere to it .. Danny was very helpful,,even gave me an upgrade which was great ! the staff were there but not in your face ...very pleasant ...!. We were celebrating. Our 30 year anniversary and the manager Bozena had Matthew show my husband a different room. She just upgraded our room! They didn't know us we'd never been there. We really felt blessed! I can't wait to go back! Just awesome!. I loved the room it made me feel like I was at home very clean beautiful place and location , the pool was very nice I'm very glad I chose this hotel for me and my family to stay I'm definitely coming back again this summer !!!. This hotel is in a perfect spot. Quiet, yet close to the center of town. I hardly used my car after I arrived. I walked to shops, restaurants, etc. Right across the street from a beautiful uncrowded beach. The room was very clean when we got there and the staff were very nice. The beach was right behind it and in the Warner months you can barbecue in the back with their grills it looks like. Danny was extremely helpful in getting us a different room. Had I not had the opportunity to switch rooms, this would have been our first and last stay at the Ocean Beach Resort. We liked the upgrade as the hotel was quite empty due to the season (march). We had a king size bed with a balcony and ocean view. The room was lovely and peaceful. Clean. Very comfortable. Lots of facilities (fridge, coffee machine, cable TV). Air conditioning. Close to beach. Lots of car parking space. Easy to get to. Location is great, the room clean, the beds comfy and we happily used the parking just outside our room. We had a lovely stay and we hope to visit again!. We had a lovely room w/a balcony. Enjoyed a.m. coffee on the deck and viewing the ocean. Room was clean, a/c worked, ceiling fan, bed comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The second floor deck outside our room was nice to sit out overlooking the beach and dunes. Staff was very friendly. Good location, inexpensive, friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms. You can get wood at the local 7-11 and have a bonfire on the beach. Literally 2 feet from the beach great location..staff was friendly and after we checked out able to use the hotel and change before leaving. The room was wonderful. We were upgraded to an king size at no extra charge. Right near ocean. It was off-season so no traffic at all. there were no loud teenagers or young adults because the hotel is not in the heart of Montauk. Perfect location, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Great location to the beach. The King size bed. -- Very close to a beautiful stretch of beach. -- We were upgraded to a better room. -- The receptionist recommended a very good restaurant for dinner. It was very basic accommodations. You had to bring your own beach chairs and towels. The bathroom was tiny. It had only one bar of soap and no blow dryer. There was no dresser. Also, we needed more towels but we had to wait until the front office opened the next morning. Nothing. The cleaning lady banging on my door in the morn gave me such a fright thought she was going to break in ...we asked her for 15 mins she came back 2 hours later :( would not have minded but she woke us up .!. Nothing I loved everything !. Everything was satisfactory for my stay. I did not like the room that was initially given to us. It was cramped, old furniture, and smelled. Apparently, they were renovating, and we got a room that had not been renovated. The wifi connection, we had to go outside the room to catch a connection but I guess bad network happen every so often in NY!. Wooden floors so little noisy when neighbours moved about. Maps available but no information for budget travellers/travellers on a shoestring. Nothing. Sleeping on the bed was like sleeping on a stone. That mattress was horrible. The only thing I did not like was that it being off-season we had to call for someone to come and check us in which required a 15 minute wait outside. Very noisy guests staying in room above us. Thin walls, we heard them walking back and forth constantly. Sounded like elephants above us. no paper towels or microwave iron and ironing board. Though the bathroom was very nice it was tight on counter space. Couldn't get the heat to work but that was ok.My wife and I enjoyed making our own heat!! It was a nice reprieve from the heat we had left behind in Florida.If we get back we'll probably stay here again. need tissues in the room, just not toilet paper. I emailed and called twice to confirm my confirmation, which I had made sx months earlier, so I just wanted to make sure it hadn't gotten lost, but I did not hear back until the morning of my reservation, when I was already on the road to Montauk. Also, the walls were paper thin: I heard any conversation/footstep above, and many sounds on either side. Otherwise, an excellent experience. Nothing. room was too small. bad mattress---horrible. When I made the reservation I asked if it was pet friendly. I was told no and assured them I would board the dog. 4 emails were sent me to ask over and over again if I was bringing a dog. I think confirming 5 times that the dog was not coming with us is excessive. It was raised again upon check in where I explained for the 6th time that she was being boarded. The room needed major updating, the other rooms were so much nicer and cleaner looking. The room had a damp smell to it. Ground floor accommodation was very noisy, if anyone walks across the room above it sounds like a herd of elephants! Stay on the second floor!. Out of date decor No microwave Small room for high price Ants in kitchen area reported with no refund. The hotel room was not very clean and the hotel in general a bit run-down. Even for the location a bit too expensive. Montauk as a city is not as beautiful as the Hamptons (East/South). However, the lighthouse is spectacular and Montauk Harbor is more worse while. Not having enough toilet tissue. Not having tissues in the room. I wonder how the other room, would have looked like. The room we were upgraded to was small, the ceiling light and fan did not work, the refrigerator and coffeemaker did not work either (electricity issues). Yet there was food from the previous guest in the fridge. The bathroom doors were stylish but wobbly, the shutters at the window were designed to close only half way and therefore let morning sin in. Office staff was extremely rude Not really a beach view at all-- the dunes block the water view. I paid for an Ocean View room and there was no view from the room whatsoever. its sucked big time we didnt sleep all night kids partying.
