I stayed at south beach for about 4 days.The staff was really nice, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and with all the kitchen facilities, such as refrigerator, a small dining table and a microwave. The location was excellent, very inexpensive compare to other hotel prices, right at the best place of south beach on Collins street between ocean st and Washington st.There was the famous mango club just a minute walking distance. You could be around the restaurants, shops and attractions ju.

It's a basic hotel, don't come if you're looking for luxury, but if you're looking for a clean, budget-friendly hotel that's close to everything, that's it. It is very central, so it's not quiet, but we didn't have any trouble sleeping. The lady who checked us in (owner, I guess) was very friendly, provided us with maps and all kinds of information about what to see,. Well. actually everything was very very good, i would like to say thanks to all the staff, in particular Michael at the reception has been extremely helpful on many matters regarding transportation and tips on miami in general; i arrived the next day than the confirmed date due to a flight problem form california, the Hotel Manager was extremely understanding about that. It's a cool, very central and affordable small hotel with large rooms. Not superchic but all there and even has some nice clues from the art deco aera. Try to get a room on the third floor. Despite the staff accusing us of stealing towels & actually doing a brief walk thru while I was in nothing but a beach towel I brought, they were friendly and accommodating. Yes we got the towels we requested. The staff are extremely helpful! When I left the hotel to the airport at 9pm, I was prepared to call a taxi that would cost me USD80. They helped me to call a shuttle that just costed me US44 only. They saw me got sun burnt and told me to buy Neosporin in a pharma nearby, it really helped. Location was great. Our room was very spacious and clean. A great bargain. We would definitely stay again. Nice to have a hair dryer and iron provided. The hotel is outdated and gives the impression of it being dirty. Although this is not true, it just looks that way. Do not expect any facilities like gym, swimming, sauna etc, it's just a budget hotel suitable for solo travellers or young couples. There was NO sign for where to check in. Another couple and I spent quite some time trying to find where to check in. Finally, a guest came out of their room and pointed us to an unmarked door. They need to post a sign on that door. Nothing at all. A balcony would have been nice! The cleaning staff was a bit annoying. They were hanging around on our floor from early morning and looked inside the window every time they walked past. I can understand that they wanna clean the room as early as possible, but don't behave like that please!. They should consider buying in-room safety boxes. I'm sure they have decent staff but still feel myself much more secured having an option of locking documents and valuables. Reception work hours could be an issue - please pay attention when making arrangements. The district is a little bit noisy with all the bars playing music in the neighborhood. So I will not recommend this hotel for family with kids or for retired people. The floor of the room needs to be cleaned a little bit more. The water is not very hot, but enough to take a shower. The room can ventilate better with more than one window. There's no area to meet people (but's it's close to other places that do have a bar). There was construction going on next door. The sofa and lounge chair are outdated. Could use a little more water pressure in the shower & the A/C drips. Water pressure very weak, not strong enough for a shower Took a very long time to get hot water Front gate lock broken and not fixed during our 3 day stay. It does need an upgrade as far as room furniture. But for the price and amount of time we spent there it wasn't an issue. Interent is extremely slow. My cell phone was faster for uploading files. There are some works on the street, so morning was a bit noisy...just a detail, I turned on the other side :-). Nothing. The building and rooms are a bit out to date, but this was already expected based on the photos on the web. This was not a problem for us, as we spent little time in. nothing. - WiFi isn't that strong, although it more than suffices for a light usage. The only thing was the curtain cannot go in front of the tainted glass so light comes through. We taped dark garbage bags in front of to resolve this. There was a construction near the hotel, so it was very noizy at the morning. The front desk doesn't work 24 hours and you may have a problem with your check in or check out. Kind of old building, but clean; some new Ikea furniture could make up the bedrooms. Room was not clean, floor dirty and no bath rug. There were no cutlery and trash in my room. Tiny elevator. When I first arrived no hot water or face towels. In the middle of the night our drunk neighbors were trying to open our door - not the best experience I can say.
