Excellent location, just 10 minutes walk from a quiet stretch of beach. The reception is a great hang out place, with the breakfast area morphing into a cafe in the afternoon and bar at night. Excellent ceviche take-out place next door. Social activities organised every night was a bonus. Sound proofing on the ceiling of the ground floor, means for a quiet night sleep for all. Friendly staff. And daily trips are organised to different parts of the city, make this hostel a great base to visit Mi.
all reviews » The hotel is located along washington avenue in a very strategic position, along a very crowded and alive avenue, very close to the main center of the city and 2 blocks from the amazing beach. The atmosphere inside the hostel is fresh, chilly and cool, we spent 5 days having a great time. Staff very helpful and friendly and pretty good breakfast in the morning.There is a small kitchen very useful and a small tv room with a/C. Very recomended. This place is about 5 minutes from the beach and from Ocean Drive. The staff was friendly and informative and it was right near a bus stop for easy transportation. It was quiet and the A/C worked. Most of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The location was just about perfect for Miami!. Location of the place is perfect. Cleanliness of the place is good. It is clean, good location and very friendly staff and people. Helpful staff. Good hostel. The helpfull people and the location. No en-suite bathrooms. And the bathrooms were often cleaned at the same time as breakfast. This is not good because people will often shower just before or just after breakfast. Please arrange the restroom cleaning for either before or after breakfast!. Too bad that internet connection worked now and then but above all only 1 water (1 for guys and 1 for women) for a whole floor so many times, in the morning or in the evening, it was often overcrowded. The free airport shuttle they talk about runs from 8:00-8:30 am only and their breakfast consists of coffee and a bagel. I don't mind either but they should be upfront about it.The rooms are very small and the bunks are singles at best and the mattresses are terrible. The female dorm rooms could use more hooks for hanging clothes, plus the bunk beds were pretty rickety. Their soundproofing is excellent, but no one monitored shouting guests in the corridors late at night. Noisy at night. Poor breakfast. Never hire service transport in the hostel (Miami tour). The company left us in Orlando and didn't pick us up to return to Miami. We needed to rent a car and spend a lot of money to go to Miami again. Breakfast. We had no mirrors in the rooms amd it was small at all. There isnt a locker inside the room.
