The Boulan South Beach was more then I expected. Just grand. Perfect location for the beach, shopping and restaurants. Our suite was gorgeous with everything you could ask for ~ kitchen, laundry, and two bathrooms. The roof top pool was beautiful as well. And the best ~ was the art work through out the hotel was outstanding. Staff ~ elegant and very friendly. Great Hotel. Great staff. Accommodated us with instant upgrade because of renovation on first floor. Extremely luxurious Hotel. Definite stay when im in town again and next time renos will be done and restraunt completed. all reviews » The units were impeccably clean, spacious, bright and airy and the roof deck pool was exactly what we were looking for. It felt like a real home away from home and the service between Robert, the whole front desk staff to the housekeeping was phenomenal. front desk staff was awesome! location near all the hot hotels and clubs. pool area was clean and fun. one block from the beach. huge patio. full kitchen and discounts at charles st. restaurant helped us stay on budget. This is second time staying at the boulan as always the staff was very friendly,courteous and helpful.My thanks to all especially Alex at the reception desk.Everything you want is near by beach,shops,clubs,restaurants. We stayed in Boulan for a week, which was great. Spacious room, very good pick if you have family and want to stay together in a same room with comfort! The fitness room is brand new with great apparel. Gorgeous big room nicely decorated with designer furniture, kitchen, balcony, nice bath room, and a lot of storage space. Very good value for price paid. Nice staff, friendly and helpful. The suite was awesome! Very clean and comfortable. Close enough to walk to the attractions. Nice bistro below. Beds were so comfortable. I would absolutely stay there again!. The layout of the hotel was great and the property is top notch. The staff ( front desk) was very accommodating and very professional. Excellent bar tender nice options for beer and wine. Apps fantastic. Not one complaint. Have to pay for Internet if you want it. The pool was closed for to days for maintenance. Breakfast included but to be taken outside and just some bakery and croissants offered. There should b some furniture on the patio so u could enjoy the balcony. Cleaning service had to be called numerous times to come clean room. They didnt change the sheets on the bed for the week that I stayed from what I could tell and two days the room wasn't cleaned. They said we refused it but that wasn't the case I think it was lack of staff. Last the ac did not work for two days and nobody knew what to do. Poor breakfast included ( just 2 eggs and pancakes ). Having to pay tax on complimentary drinks and breakfast. Breakfast process. There are building works going on down the street so it was v noisy during the day. Poor continental breakfast (Either scrambled eggs or pancakes with Coffee or orange juice) and addititional 10$/day as obligatory tips. The fantastic fully equipped kitchen is good but missed a kettle to make tea!. The party above our heads 'til 3 am. The elevator being broken, the partiers, and the cleanup crew filed down the stairs outside our room from 3 am to 8 am, crashing and banging huge equip. But the front desk wouldn't stop them. They offered $50 in recompense. Our room cost $725. No one is in charge. Go to a prof. Managed place instead. Our room was advertised with a fully equipped kitchen, which we intended to use frequently. There wasn't a kettle, & reception couldn't supply one! No tea or coffee facility, we had to request cooking utensils & even had to buy our own frying pan. I must add, overall I'd recommend The Boulan, just let down by minor things. Breakfast was the same every morning. Bath tub water was luke warm by the time it fills up :-(. Leaving. it was A little bit far from the lincoln road mall. It was a bit too fancy for us but we definitely got what we payed for!. Had to pay for wifi that was device specific. Bbreackfast incuded in the package in next door resturant where the staff and service is way below average. I don`t like the late check-in. Very very long check-in. The room wasnt very clean, especially the sofa and under the bed. Poor brakfast and internet service must pay for each thing you connect 12. breakfast. Valleh car. Breakfast. bathtub very dirty. nothing. Restaurant not located onsite. It is also not owned by hotel. And Resturant treats hotel clients treat guests like second class citizens because breakfast is free. Also 5star hotel and you eat your breakfast off plastic plates. The breakfast was poor and the beach was 4 streets from the hotel. I requested that my daughter be allowed to check in ahead of us but not be charged as I was paying for the room. I double checked with reception upon check out that there was nothing to pay. However they deducted nearly the entire weeks amount from her student account. I now have to go about the expensive way of transfering funds back to the us to reimburse her account. I am not happy about that. Hotel decoration with themes about violence; as a family with young children we rushed from the sidewalk into the room so not to expose them much to these images. Room still needs some thinking, such as hangers for towels, etc. 2 days on 6 room was not cleaned, we had to call service to clean the room Breakfast could be better... U have to go on a different place outside of hotel to have breakfast... Why? One of two lcd tv was not working. Front desk was more busy talking spanish in a walkie talkie, than taking care of guests. The breakfast is a comedy. It is located in a small restaurant around the corner that not have the capasity to do the hotel guest. First morning we wait over 30 min to get a table. And there was only scrambled eggs and pancakes you can choose who was included. Too mouch extras was put on the check. Dirty at arrival Less dirty during stay Short of towels Kitchen poorly kitted No brochures or info Extra charges for car park and wi-fi Breakfast and old pastry and a grumpy door man serving coffee from a coffee machine. NO bar!! Not on the beach. NO food. U have to go down the road for food. Breakfast very poor. Cost of internet expensive. Inflexible approach. Lack of facilities at check out. No free parking. Toiletry is from another century they give you a free plunger whih is an essential something I did not kook forward to onmy vacation @ tnhe ac is quirky and need fine tuning3 the beach is not two m inutes it isa good 10 minute walk contrary to their brochure 4 soap is not replac e daily and housekeeping need improvemnt. Breakfast one slice of bread cut in to two+orange juice+scramble egg only after paying A$300.00 per day including breakfast Never seen a poor breakfast like this. According to the voucher check in time is 3. But because management has changed we had to wait till 4. We paid for the room at least 2-3 months earlier.
