We appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the helpful service. We especially liked the full-service breakfast at the nearby Beach and Bay motel -- and the access to laundromat facilities at the Clarion motel. The location is great. Far enough from downtown to be peaceful. Lake view room was great. Room was kept very clean and staff was frendly and helpful. Cheap and on the water.

Bed was comfortable. beach area look nice (unfortunately no time to use it this trip). Clean, good shower, plenty of hot water, good towel, good bed. Clean room Smelled good. Location, cost. The location near the bike path to downtown Mackinaw City was great. I would definitely recommend a trip to Mackinaw City to anyone but would definitely dissuade them from booking a room at Waterfront Inn. it was on the beach. it did have an inside pool and hot tub. The view we had while watching the firework. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There were much better for cheaper prices....The furniture was filthy...the room terrible. Iwas changed because I complained but the next room was also a mess....I woould never tell anyone to stay there. The breakfast was not there they advertise and the pictures are very misleading. Terrible run down place. By the,water. Pool. Nothing to report!. Breakfast was offered at the neighbouring hotel. A nice idea and the food was ok but it's a bit busy with and very noisy. They told me they had blow dryers in the rooms. Actually, they had only 3 for all the guests to share snd none of them were unavailable. I was not happy. there were ants in the bathroom but I know they were just opening for the season. The rooms were extremely small. We had a room with a king sized bed and honestly don't know how they got it in the room! I would recommend to others but also warn them about the size of the rooms. Also the facility is an older one so if you are looking for big and new - you will be very disappointed. We did not get the King room I reserved even after confirming the night before arrival. Continental breakfast was not on sight (inconvenient did not use). Small room, old, noisy, no hair dryer in room or available. We reserved 2 king rooms and they had only double beds available. They were not helpful. Also guests are invited to a free breakfast at another location but because we had used letsbookhotel.com they didn't want to offer us the breakfast. No breakfast on first day there, even though it was promised in description. 2nd day breakfast voucher was provided. Very small room for a king bed (stuck large bed in small room). New management not as good as previous management in past years. Will not go there again. I selected the Waterfront Inn primarily because of cost and that breakfast was provided. No breakfast other than coffee was provided. Breakfast was not mentioned in any of the on-site descriptions - but it was on your description. Very bad customer service, rooms were dirty, shabbiest lodging place in the area, no Wi-Fi available even though advertised that it was included, overall in very sad state of disrepair and when I complained of an overcharge on my bill and then went on to describe to the manager some of the issues noted above he had the audacity to say " You wanted a cheap hotel, you got a frickin' cheap hotel... Write a bad review, I don't care.". the beach was crap. the surroundings were very worn out and tired-looking. The ants that I killed in the bathroom. Need I say more. never trust things written below hotel description. for me, they have written they will provide free breakfast. did'n't get any. The whole thing...the staff was all that was good. They were imported help from Jamacia. Nice people. The hotel is a mess!. They put me in a,dirty room change hotels on me with out notice had to drive around to find out where they put me. Advertised breakfast lucky to get coffee very old window no screen no fan in bathroom.
