Being a native-LAer, it is rare to find a place that is so special I decide to take a "staycation". I had a friend coming into town who is considering moving to LA and, in an effort to make his decision a little easier, I wanted to make sure he stayed at my favorite hidden spot in LA. The Charlie is a very unique concept, a collection of villas hidden away in West Hollywood. I stayed in the Gloria, a beautifully furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath villa with a large patio. It truly felt like a home awa.
all reviews » We loved this place. We were lucky enough to receive a complimentary upgrade from studio to 1 br. The apartment was big, with top quality washer / dryer and full kitchen. So much better value than a hotel. The bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in with top quality linens and very good toiletries. Wi-fI is super hi-speed. There is a large flat screen tv in both the living area and the bedroom. Lots of storage in the bedroom. Lovely casual but elegant furnishings. Parking was. Everything was perfect. Really stylish decor and the rooms, gardens were just stunning. The service was really personal/above and beyond and the general manager even came out to greet us to make sure everything about our stay and trip to LA was the best it could be. Awesome gesture of sending us a bottle of wine at brunch in a local restaurant one of those days. Right in the middle of W Hollywood yet secluded makes this a no brainer choice for any occasion. Would make for a great honeymoon spo. Liked the private seclusion, it made a change from staying in the large impersonal hotels. On our previous visit we stayed at The London 5* hotel in West Hollywood, we wish we had know about The Charlie residences before then as it was all round better value for mone.y. Everything! I even had a private parking space for my vehicle with the help of the management. The kitchen was wonderful for small parties. The bed was very comfortable and there is even a private storage in the studio. I would come back again for sure. The apartments were large, light and well furnished. They were very comfortable indeed - much, much nicer than a hotel. The location is excellent and I had no problem with car parking spaces. Masha always got back quickly with answers to my questions. Charming and unique property in and excellent location near Hollywood and Beverly Hills walking distance to a grocery store, cafes, and restaurants. We enjoyed preparing dinner and breakfast in the well equipped kitchen. Really comfortable - ended up staying in at night instead of going out as we enjoyed it so much! Very pretty. Would definitely recommend. Charming...spacious...large roof deck with lovely view...very comfortable beds...great history...gorgeous room. I like it I felt comfortable ,safe and peace. nice retreat for couple nice garden nice room. it was simple and clean and comfortable. The kitchen appliances, the garden. The rooms were very well appointed. excellent location, staff, size. There was a bit of noise from upstairs - people walking on floorboards was quite noisy. A 'welcome pack' with a bit of dishwashing liquid, cloth, coffee etc would be good. But overall, fantastic. There was nothing that we didnt like. Wish the place had a hot tub. As others have noted, it does seem sad not to have some tea, coffee and milk available on arrival. This would be a real disappointment for people who arrive at night, especially when paying such high prices. It would be so easy to correct this. There was an odd collection of kitchen equipment e.g. no teaspoons. It was difficult to get the TV to work but this was sorted out quickly and cheerfully. The garden looks bedraggled and many of plants are in poor health. No Complaints. Should be coffee in the room and maybe a small snack bar as there is not a restaurant and it is not conveniently located to walk to one. nothing. fridge noisy. i could not get the internet to work. But i had my own signal. The two hours " window " for checking in. Room was not really at 3PM. room needs a touch of cleaning up.

Kindly note that check-in time us strictly between 15:00 to 20:30 Monday through Wednesday and from 15:00 to 17:00 Thursday through Sunday. Office hours are from 8:30 to 20:30 Monday through Friday and 9:00 to 17:00 Saturday and Sunday. Registered guest(s) will be charged a USD 1,000 non refundable fee for unauthorized parties, photo shoots and filming. Additionally there can be a USD 200 cleaning fee depending on status of room condition. Lastly any hotel guests that needs to be compensated for being disrupted by an unauthorized event, registered guest will be fined for amount that will be compensated.
