Wha I truly appreciate is that, the receptionist Anthony and another colleague(electrician cum technician on duty, forget the name),made every effort to find me a better room, and finally were kind enough to upgrade me with the authority of the manager to a suite as service recovery. Though the view from the room could have ben better, I was truly happy with the room and all other services- Frances and Milares were great help too - thank you - SC.
all reviews » They upgraded our room from the letsbookhotel.com reservation because we were there for 5 days. When we checked out, the fee had been calculated on the higher price of the upgrade. The management was very helpful and prompt in reversing the extra charges. The breakfast facilities were very good my grandson liked the eaffle mahine ss he could mske his own . It was nrar to shops which wad ideal there ead a good supermark et actos yhe rosd with nice buns snd cokies ehich wad nice ith a nicr cup of coffre e. We asked for an extra towel and within minutes two sets were brought to us. It was also easy to find and easy to use as home base. Staff were very helpful and informative. 20 minute walk to nearest tube station with only 2 stops to Chinese Theatre. Staff were very helpful. Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, good shower. Enjoyed the fruit at breakfast. staff was very helpful and willing to help in anyway the could. Everything was perfect for this price. Location and efficient staff. The room price was reasonable. The front desk was accomodating with special arrangements. The location was near my daughter and it was easy getting around. The breakfast was fairly good. Breakfast, very nice staff, clean room. Good room for what you pay. I had requested the booking .com agent for a non smoking room, however on arrival at the hotel I was told that I had a smoking room booked. Plus I am generally claustrophobic , and the windows opened out into other homes or not very pleasant views The hotel was fully booked around that period so the receptionist had quite a challenge to find another room. We were on the second floor and we could hear lots of noise from the room above, just walking around and bathroom noises were quite loud. The heater / cooler in the room was quite noisy and not that warm. Parking was limited. Only bad side is there is no refrigurator in rooms. Loud neighbors. The room was sometimes hot; you were restricted on adjusting the ac down. One of the staff members (maintenance) promised to bring cups to the room and didn't show. The phone light blinked constantly and when we complained, the front desk said "unplug it". I had checked out for two nights and then returned (changed booking) and while I got a good rate; they almost gave my room up because they claimed they didn't have my credit card....geez, I just spent three nights there!. Bad area, walked across the street for a meal and made it to go for fear of the locals!.
