Access to beach, comfortable and clean rooms,beach chairs and umbrellas, helpful and pleasant staff, despite inadequate staff functioning in restaurant, attractive surroundings. Hotel pics are realistic except for pool, which is small and not the lap pool it looks like in pic. Are realistic except fo. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The decor is nice and clean. The front desk person was very helpful answering questions about parking on the street, which is allowed and saves you $25. Nice location.

If you are looking for a break close to JFK with ocean views this is the place to be. Beautiful location on the beach. Restaurant was good. Staff was mostly attentive. 24 hour front desk and concierge allowed problems to be solved at any time. My upgrade to an ocean front room was so beautiful. The bed and bathroom were spotless and so comfortable. The food is always great. Beautiful and stylish inside, staff very cheerful, pleasant and helpful, beds comfortable. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. True professionals. Excellent dinner. Price and location. Otherwise it's too unaffordable in high season. We asked if there was storm damage and we were told "only in the Lobby which has been completely renovated." Lobby was renovated but room had severe water damage and strong smell of mold and mildew. Disgusting. Rooms are set back, location is excellent, sexy hotel. Beautiful city, nice decor. location. only the location. Restaurant staff was slow and disorganized..E.G. Waited 40 min, received wrong order, waited another 25 min and another incorrect order ! Staff kept apologizing, but didn't improve the bottom line inefficiency and waste of time !!!!. The hotel is showing signs of age and use. The rooftop area is very worn out looking. When I was waiting in line to I check out, the woman behind the front desk took a man who just walked up after she made me wait. Phone wasn't working when I tried to call to ask for towels. Worked after I unplugged it and he rebooted. Air conditioning didn't work but it didn't matter when we got there because temps were in the 60s. Mattered in the morning when normal temps were back so we checked out early. Sometimes music was too loud at breakfast. In room phone stopped working twice which interfered with communication with front desk. Cost of valet parking is $25 per day which is a little pricey. nothing!. The AC in our room never got the room fully comfortable. Wish you had special rates all year for incentives to get repeat customers! Check in is very late when spending $200 and up per night when check out is 11. Especially if its in season and price is twice as high- you can't even go to the beach then spend evening because there is no access to showers!! Hardly any time in room and at such high prices!!. Parking is really a problem. I don't mind the valet parking and fee/tip for end of day parking. During day time, the inconvenience can conflict with the need for frequent in-and-out trips. AC didnt work. Room seemed to need maintenance, such as weak toilet flush, weak shower w/water too hot & difficult to control, loose sink that moved forward when any weight was put on it. extremely noisy lobby/dining/bar area. The elevators were broken on Saturday night and we had to go thru the back of the hotel and the service elevator. Better than having to take the stairs late at night tho. Poorly constructed. No insulation...Everything can be heard in the rooms. Not enough space to unpack and get comfortable. Workmanship of room poor. No lockable bathroom door unacceptable. Shower designed poorly causing flooding. Housekeeping services did not provide soap or washcloths for Day 2. they need to work on the rooms. handle fell of the window and shower which had luke warm water. 1 elevator-long wait times Electronic keys did not work in door-i spent alot of time dealing with this. Air condition did not work. Called and had a tech reset it. But the ac stopped again in the middle of the night. Gave room service money for speacial request. Tokk money and never saw him again. Shower was terrible. Room had water damage on ceiling and walls. Bathroom had mold and mildew. Odor was strong enough to make you sick. Towels were frayed. Lighting was inadequate. Safe was "out of order." In short, our room 728 was disgusting. If you would like pictures, just ask. For approximately $300 a night, really?. Overpriced undervalued, lack of hospitality, rooms were poorly designed, remote often broke down, More event space than hotel. Staff was stuck up, room was sandy, fridge didn't work, alarm clock blaring in the middle of the night and clock not set. Beach access locked at 7pm, charged for lame rooftop "cabana". beach side there was no phone reception nor internet signal. missing : tea , coffee, water from the room. poor service waited an hr and half to get food, upgraded to get beach view but had to stick head out of window to see it. Bathroom floors not as clean as should be ( corners had hair) Called for bottled water from room got voice mail saying that they would get back to us. Called twice no response and no water. Finally had to get ice from machine to melt in glass to take pills. I will be sending a letter in more detail to the manager. Having to change rooms 3 times cause the air conditioning wasn't working. Then not being able to get into the room cause the keys were not working either. Spent most of my time at the front desk and up and down the elevadors. Terrible experience... Very poor service from pool bar staff. Poor bedroom facilities, no mini bar or tea/coffee making. Small room, kept catching leg on solid bed base. Noisy hotel, seem more interested in holding functions. phone didn't work, tv didn't work, air conditioning didn't work,, pool was green, staff at resturant incompetant.
