The staff at the hotel were so courteous and friendly, giving you that aloha spirit. The pool the kids loved so much. For me, it was home away from home. I was surprised to run into a few workers that are good friends that I knew for a long time. They were so gracious and asked if I needed anything. I would love to stay there again. Lagoon-side room views are beautiful. The pool areas, as well as the ocean/beach access are amazing! The staff was very friendly and always smiled and said hello. Great music talent in the bar, too!.
all reviews » Outside was beautiful - several large, clean, glistening pools, outdoor snack bar, access to ocean. Staff very friendly, room VERY nice, ocean view, outside patio area, great beds and pillows. I like the multiple pools and scenic poolscapes. Waterfalls and kids pool slides. The lagoon wading area / small kids pool was excellent right near the bar and beach. Awesome visit!. Valet staff was stellar and took first place in our book. The rest of the staff followed suit and made our stay very special and relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful experience!. I loved the private beach and wonderful pool area. Very peaceful, yet lots to do! Also, loved the fire pit with the comfy seating to enjoy the sunsets and evening. What a pleasant surprise!! The value was unsurpassed. The breakfast buffet excellent. I will stay here in the future and recommend the resort as well to anyone!. We like all of the different sports options that were offered. The pool landscape was beautiful. There was nothing that I didn't like. Everything was up to my expectations. The western mountain-facing rooms look out on some dumpsters and other utility equipment.. Not very appealing, but if you just want to book a room on that side and save a few bucks, they're just fine. Parking area was wet and in some areas muddy; parking fee and inroom internet service were both high. Arriving later in the day the bell desk/valet was inattentive. Drove up, piled the bags out of the car and walked up to ask for a cart. Young man pointed to the cart and said to bring it back. He needed it. He was on the phone and didnt want to be bothered. Had to go back and hand him my car keys after I was done to say he needed to valet my vehicle because I just paid for it when I checked in. He sheepishly took the keys and knew he wasnt doing his job. Two mirrors in bathroom would have been a bit more convenient. The prices for adult beverages were pretty stiff. But, they are not much more than any other location in Kauai. The beach was the only down side. The reef so you couldn't just walk out into a sandy shore bottom, MINOR!. The layout of the rooms - the bedroom was on the front walkway. The kitchen as too narrow. Dinning can improve on a more timely process of seating guest. The menu & food was very good. The staff was pleasant and full of aloha. The value for money was actually quite good as far as the price of the room went...however, all the little extras (i.e. parking fee, internet, restaurant prices) can really add up. But still, an overall wonderful place to stay!. Internet charges were very expensive, parking is not convenient and they charge for it. I don't think we should have to pay extra for parking when we are paying to stay and there is no other place to park. The $16.00 per day parking charge was ridiculous and a total money grab. One pool designated an "adult only" would be nice as well as one of the five pools being heated. The cost of parking was more than I expected, more than what was listed on the letsbookhotel.com website. A bit hard to understand why there was a charge for parking when there was so much available and it wasn't even very conveniently located. There is not a beach on the property that is safe to use. Long interior hallways gave the facility a very dated feeling. Misleading promotion of lagoon view room, which was a view of the parking lot! There was no mention of on-going major construction which was a big inconvenience! The fire alarm went on 2 times at 2 am and 3 am. The power went out in the afternoon. The food was way too expensive! I should have booked an elegant condo with a private pool and beach like my sister-in-law did!!!!. Older kind of dingy the breakfast buffet was OK but the dinner was terrible and way overpriced.
