This was a budget friendly hotel without being a budget hotel. In fact, this really is a resort situated right on the water with a beautiful pool, relaxing bar and lovely restaurant. There is a laid back sophistication that you don't find in new express hotels. Above and below ground parking a plus!. This was our second trip.. We live the pool and walking the marina.. Service is excellent.. Facilities are clean and comfortable! The breakfast buffet is amazing!!.
all reviews » Jordan at the front desk was a delight, Lindsey waitress at pool was fabulous, Marie and Magna as well as the night manager are all an assett to your company. Breakfast was outstanding, we were there for a Triathalon and they didn't charge for late check out, which is very thoughtful for tired athelets. Everything was excellent from check in to breakfast to check out!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will book here again!!!. Staff was great, if we needed anything they was real helpful. Pool was awesome and relaxing. Location was perfect for our plans. location -close to dining & shopping swimming pool with full bar reasonable cost for room. I liked the area, close to Kemah and not too far to Galveston. I loved the location and how the room had a balcony. Very nice staff and location.. Lake view is amazing. The hotel is in a central location, and has good facilities. The rooms are large, with confortable mattresses. Most of the staff was pleasant. The view was amazing, we could see the fireworks at Kemah. The staff was also very helpful and genuine. We loved the location, view, the room size and the price. However, there was only one at the end of the hotel by the parking lot which made a little wait time, but not bad. Not really enough to complain about. letsbookhotel.com said our Breakfast was included. You email to me stated it clearly.. We were told the first day It wasn't included. However, when I spoke to management he gladly honored the email..hate we missed the first day but enjoyed it the second day!!. no music at pool. needs more atmosphere out there. Everything was great, very understanding of all the guest. No down side. Nothing. Wasn't anything we didn't like. breakfast -fake eggs on buffet ! staff--front desk said breakfast served till 10:30 a.m. We were scolded by staff (Maria)when we showed up at 9:50 a.m. -said serving was over at 10:a.m. The beds were too small, full size instead of queens. They were also uncomfortable. They seriously need to update the interior design, especially the bedding. Didn't like when we asked for our room to be cleaned, it didn't get clean. Need to have WiFi password for each device ... There were too many kids running around the property. the bath room was to small for handy cap, the shower dripped and was hard to turn off. View of the first floor roof and nothing else - This was to be a mid level room. I do not consider the second floor on a 12 story facility to be mid level. No complaints!!. No mini bar in the room. My bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked, with hair in the sink and on the wall in the shower. To me the pillows were not the best, as were the towels in the bath room. Fuerhermore, the bartender in the lobby lounge was rude. The bed was hard as a rock, the shower was small and the people in the room next to us were loud. The bed was horrible. Hard as a brick, and the sheets were about as thin and cheap as money could buy. I didnt get the room that I booked with letsbookhotel.com. The room lamps did not work. Did not get the breakfast coupon with room that I reserved. We had to change rooms three times. First room already had a Customer, second was not what I asked for, and finally the third room worked. I have stayed a # of times and each time the customer services seems to get a little worse. The way you get the towels for the pool area. Next time i come back will bring my own. The first time we stayed there, last year, there was bell hops, carts for luggage, a better breakfast buffet. This time there was not of that. The rooms smell stuffy, may need new carpet, no fridge or microwave. I've stayed in places that were less expensive and got a refrigerator and microwave. I think they need to do some updates to this place because it has so much more to offer. Greeter at the Reef and pool security was rude for no reason. It doesn't qualify as 'Resort' status, the facility meeds a face lift, more staff and Halls on 8th floor smelled of stall cig. smoke. Never any carts available for luggage therefore we had to make three trips back/forth. Room was damp, cold and room thermostat inoperable. Spent a miserable night in the first room.Staff moved us to a third room also with inoperable thermostat which required a maintenance tech to repair. Key machine broke. Check in late 4 pm. Beds uncomfortable. Elevator broken. No hot tub. One staff said no roll away bed . One person said yes and brought it. The room was dark and musty. The air conditioner rattled excessively. The mattress was uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. The linens were scratchy and musty. It felt like I was sleeping in a basement.
