Very nice bar and restaurant with in an up to date boutique style, which contrasted well with the accommodation which had a more cosy traditional feel to it. The food, courtesy of head chef Alessandro was great, lots of locals were dining which is always a good sign. Nice touches, with free water and coffee etc available in the lobby and also free Wi-Fi in all areas. The staff were without exception friendly, welcoming and helpful. A little gem of a Holiday Inn close to the centre of Laguna Bea.
all reviews » Location was good and not to far to main area of Laguna Beach. Cross the road there are stairs to the beach and great views. We where offered an upgrade on arrival without requesting it. The room was huge and comfortable. Pool was clean and warm. Great place for a couple that love the beach. The hotel is boutique like with immaculate grounds and a staff that is professional and helpful. They made several recommendations as to best dining areas, beach areas, shopping etc. The Location is a perfect 3 to 5 minute walk to the main beach The hotel is across the street from the market. We were given a friendly welcome by the people at the front desk when we arrived. Although we were very early, the front desk clerk checked and was able to let us check in early. I also love that the hotel is small and cozy with great access to the beach as well as Ralph's grocery store. Location to main Village was great, the layout of Hotel, pool and all facilities great. restaurant was also of the very highest quality. All round setting was far better than impression of hotel from the outside. I'd recommend to anyone. Great location, they had a great restaurant in the hotel as well. Nice staff, pool was awesome plenty of room for all their guests. I wish I stayed at this hotel longer. I thought this was a very nice hotel. Staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were very clean and well attended. Comfortable beds, free beverages and good access to beach and downtown. Clean , well maintained and able to walk to downtown/beaches. Nice atmosphere from the beginning, lobby is very welcoming, courtyard is nice. We really liked the suit on the top floor. We booked a king room, but it turned out to be very small so we upgraded for a suit which we loved! It had a fireplace, very cozy and nice rooms. Fireplace in the room, jacuzzi tub, comfy bed and linens, French doors with a partial view of the ocean, free bottled water (and other things) in the lobby. Came and stayed 7 years ago,really enjoyed it so came back. Proximity to city centre and beach is an advantage. The restaurant. Nothing. Nothing. Rooms are a little tight but are a honest size. Nothing. The parking fee per night. I think a hotel should not charge you for parking if you are paying to stay there. Room was very small (just enough space for 2 beds). A bit noisy (it was spring break). Low pressure in shower and noise from restaurant at night. Bed too soft. Restaurant downstairs is overpriced for the quality of food it provides. Single rooms are very small, bath tubs are very small. Random 'antique' furniture in the suite, poorly matched and arranged. Jacuzzis in other rooms were loud! But thankfully, on a timer that appeared to shut everyone's off after 9pm. It seemed old fashioned and scruffy,room was very dark and to be honest the stay was disappointing. Noisy and not Well Cleaned.
