I saw some neg reviews but we needed a place to stay an opted for this one as it had FREE parking. We found this place clean an relaxing. The spa in the room was hard to step into. Most spa's are but we did use it and it was wonderful to have in the room. There is lots of good places to eat, lots of shopping and most of all lots of art galleries. It was nice to sit at the beach with a drink an enjoy the sunsets. We have no complaints whatsoever. We will stay here again. We loved it very much. W.
all reviews » We got a really good deal (Genius booking - one day before). The location is awesome - you just have to cross over the street and you are at the beach. Many surf shops and restaurants are just down the street. The rooms are spacious and the integrated whirlpool is a nice feature (but not really necessary in my opinion). We extended our stay for one more night. We stayed in a clean, attractive, and spacious room. The spa tub was large and enjoyable. The hotel has a friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located only a short distance to the downtown center of Laguna Beach. The complimentary breakfast was varied and of good quality. The cost of the room was economical for the quality of the hotel. I didn't like the room that is reserved for letsbookhotel.com I have stayed before and loved the rooms I've booked in the past. The picture that they show on the letsbookhotel.com site is not the room you get. This has happened to us twice now with two different hotels. hot tub and pool are nice enough; rooms are small but very well-maintained; the whole property was well-maintained, including the lobby. i was pleasantly surprised by that. the complimentary breakfast was great too and we loved the spa tub in the room!. Had to cross the road to the beach. the common wall to adjoining room was not fully noise insulated. Nothing!. Loud kids in the middle of the night. Stole the Do Not Disturb sign off the door. Otherwise we love staying here. No complaints, though I didn't care for the bed pillows.. Nothing. No elevator. Price was a bit high. Breakfast room needs a better facility, hours were late (7:30-10:30 am every day!). Coffee was bad the first day (Sunday). A little better on Monday. The room could have been a little cleaner. Dust around the edges of the carpet. Noise level from street. breakfast could be a bit better and so could the computer. Quite expensive. trying to find ice cubes for our room. Nothing comes to mind. I can't think of any dislikes. small parking lot. Not beach front and rooms were small. Sh. Nothing. nothing to dislike. The early check out! You should extend that until at least 2:00pm. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. The clean rooms and the fact that each Romo has a tub... I am 65 and trying to get in or out of the giant spa tub in the room was not possible. Too afraid of falling, no grab bars. Too big and high a step too access the tub or even the shower. In addition the heating/air conditioning did not work. noise from the road. no elevator to the 4th floor, stops on 3 and had to carry a large amount of baggage and bikes up step stairs with a sprained foot. pillows were lumpy & uncomfortable. Poor signage for rooms. We arrived late and hauled our bags up 3 stairs cases before we found the correct stairs. A little assistance in the dark would have been appreciated. Over priced. The jet tub was scary! Try showering in a jet tub and that was the only choice. Safety concerns getting in and out of spa. Need more grab rails for safer in and out. nothing. Spa out of order and a little further from town than we would have liked.
