Kim, the desk clerk, was so helpful and cheerful to us. We needed an extra night due to the Key West Express canceling our return trip to Ft Myers. Kim did all she could do to accommodate us including us being able to stay in our room. The breakfast was much more than expected and was very good. The location was perfect for us being at the quiet end of Duval St. We were able to walk wherever we went. I would recommend Orchid Key to friends and if I return to Key West I would like to stay there.
all reviews » Quaint, boutique style, non-comercial hotel with a nice staff. Loved Brandon at the front desk. He was helpful, personable and fun to talk to. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to nightlife, but far enough away from the noise so that you can relax if you choose. We will DEFINITELY stay here again on our next trip to Key West. Everything! Just read the reviews on trip advisor, they are 100% accurate. Great little hotel, amazingly friendly employees, best location in Key West. When I go back to Key West, I will always stay at the Orchid Key Inn. Quaint little hotel with lots of personality, in a great location on Duvall St. It's conveniently located close to the attractions of Key West, right on Duval street, yet the pool and courtyard are completely private and secluded. The staff, especially Brandon, was very friendly and helpful. position - close to the heart of Key West Friendly, comfortable and some thoughtful things like the free snacks at happy hour and iced lemon water available all the time. Very good coffee machine in room. Friendly staff, very informative as to what we day activities, night life and shows were best. Friendly guests, very clean rooms, and very relaxing. The only downside of this hotel is the price. Especially since we needed to spend an extra night it truly cut into our budget. There was only a closet to hang clothes, no dresser or chest. Not a big deal, but needed to keep some clothes in my suitcase. Nothing. Quite expensive at $400 per night. breakfast a little sparse but adequate. Nothing, everything was great!!. nothing. Rooms are a bit small, but it was beautiful!. No dressers, but nightstands have some storage. A little expensive but now I have seen the place I can understand why. The mattress was horrible, nice divot in middle, Needed to be replaced !. Rooms could have been a little bigger. I have no dislikes. No storage space for clothes. Did not receive the usual tour of place how to use hot tub,where switches were about air conditioner use. Quick mention at counter of times of breakfast, happy hour,etc. Looked for itinerary in room, no paper with info. Had to find someone to ask and to fix heat in room, where hot tub switches were etc. breakfast could be better (more choice) and was served in paper plates and plastic cutlery.
