We liked the Hotel, it was more like Townhouse atmosphere, and enjoyed very much looking out at the yachts and the boats, and was very relaxing....would of liked to stay longer and not come home, that's how nice it was....Liked the idea of the ceiling fans in the Rooms...the stand up shower excellent....and bathrooms and kitchen were very nice and clean, reminded of older Decor and of the 60s and 50s style....some people may not like that, but, we were very satisfied....
all reviews » I like the fact that the suite was HUGE. It was a 2-level suite with 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen with all the basic utensils provided and offered a great waterfront view of one of the main canals in Key Largo. Also close to dive operators and great restaurants. All this for a very good rate..it can't be beat in Key Largo!. It was great for us. Plenty of room and a great location with our room overlooking the canal across from the National Geographic Dive Center. Plenty of boats and activity going on. We just enjoyed sitting on our deck and watching the people. Everything suited our needs. This is our second stay at this location, & we have not been disappointed either time. The staff are friendly & helpful, & rooms are great, & the location suited our purpose ( snorkeling ). Loved the location which was close to everything in Key Largo. The rooms were nice and we really enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch over looking the canal which allowed you to watch the boats coming in/going out. It was a great place for one night and very economical. We were on our way to Key West and needed a stop over. They recommended a great place to eat that was nearby--The Conch House. You should definitely try it. The location and rooms were perfect. In fact the place was an absolutely charming surprise! The reception girls - Urta and Christine, were warm, human, and very friendly. Beaming basically!. Lay out of the suite was exceptional. Very much like your own condo. Location in town and along the canal as well as proximity to snorkel and sightseeing boats was also very good. Large rooms, reasonable rate for area accomodating family of four in separate areas. Screened porch overlooking canal and local pub/restaurant with evening music. Great location on the marina. Great view, free parking and wifi. Good room size and good facilities in room. Try the bar across the water for food and drinks. Amazing apartment for the price, I was so dubious as it was so cheap but it's just really great value. it's a good location if you want t be in key largo. I really enjoyed the porch where I could watch the All the dive boats coming and going, I look forward to taking grandsons there in the near future. For an older place, we were quite surprised at how clean and well kept the place was. Also, the large size of the unit was definitely a plus. The room was huge, two floors with 2 bathrooms, nice kitchen, and had a beautiful screened in patio on the water side. Duplex style that looked more like a condo than hotel room. Location was great. Back porch overlooked a canal. The fact that is was suit not just a room. Front desk personnel were great. Would stay again if in area. The location is very central for Key Largo attractions. The room setup was conducive to family stays. Lovely old motel with pretty boadwalks and a small patio outside the ground floor rooms. Huge two-storied apartment with quite well equipped kitchen, two TVs, two bathrooms. The lady at the reception was very friendly... Hotel was at a nice river.. It's a nice place, very good to go as a family, somewhat pricey but worth. Everything we needed was there- ie toiletries, washing equipment. The staff, Christine and CJ were great. Going back in two weeks. The layout of the rooms and the view from the balcony was nice. It was 2 stories and the location on the water was great. the rooms good the water way.........boats etc The pool. the two story plan, the full kitchen,pool and location. very nice and clean, friendly staff and good location. It's a very good stopping off point if site seeing the Keys and or the southern part of the Everglades. The maisonette was spacious and the bed comfy. Spacious, kitchenette, small balcony on the canal, affordable price, place to park underneath building with my kayak. Nice for family... We were coming for snorkeling and kayaking. Lots of room for the money - especially 2 full baths, and an ample sofa bed. Full kitchen, little balcony - just enough space for my toddlers while we were in the room. I love your close proximity to everything. I love the fact that it has upstairs downstairs and two full baths. The location was great Wifi signal was decent, but not all the room was covered The room was fairly clean. Spacy apartment, great location at Key Largo Harbour, Nice lady at reception, good bed and nice balcony. Practical stay before going to key West wher the living is much more expensive. Size and layout of the apartment plus available facilities. This is an old building and could use some updating, both inside & out. However, for the price, I can live with it just as it is!. The sliding glass door to the deck was hard to open and close. Needs a replacement. No complaints whatsoever. A little bit dated and could use some upgrades. Still a great value. That we couldn't stay longer!. Needs to be refreshed. Carpets are a mess and we were afraid to walk on them barefooted, always wore shoes. Could use renovations. If they had been done, we would gladly have paid more for the accommodations. Glasses would have been good rather than plastic cups. We made do though. While it didn't personally bother us, there might be some persons who would not like the noise coming from the bar/club across the water. minor cosmetic repairs were needed. Walls are a bit thin. nothing. I stayed in this motel 25 years ago and apart from the new Tikki bar it is still the same. Despite the old world charm it is really time to update the rooms, especially the bathrooms that are well below most motel standards. A bit old furnishing and stains on the carpet. The furniture was quiet old and the beds not really comfortable... But anyway key west is really expensive and not that modern status as the cities, in that case it was ok!. Something very bad is that in areas of the hotel have a place to rent jet sky whose workers are extremely bad professionals, have a kind of plan to charge extra, really anything that does not correspond with the hotel service. No computer available for guests in the office. Shower could have been cleaner. main not in on the 2 days we were there. Room furnitures need replacing and cleaning. No possibility for a breakfast. Having to pay for parking. Outdated, could use some upgrades, very expensive. did not get to stay longer. Nothing. i was in the spring brake and was very expensive. Sofa bed needs updating. This place could be a real gem but unfortunately it's in need of some serious TLC. Although it was basically clean, the furnishings and fittings were very shabby plus some were damaged and broken. Ktichenette supplies are pretty limited, just be aware to bring your own can opener, etc. beds were not too comfortable .. think college apartment... But it was fine for a short stay. Sofa bed and extra cot were old and uncomfortable - we ended up with the mattress on the ground. Nicer inside than looking on from outside. There's no Wi-Fi. The carpet was outdated. The towels were thin. The beds were so uncomfortable. Kitchen cabinets in need of replacement, door fell off when opened and shelf was about fall also. Minimal pans and kitchen utensils and knives. The room and the entire hotel was quite old. Quality not what you may expect from a suite, kitchen very basic and maintenance seems to be on a relatively low level. Noisy restaurangin the evening Noisy boats in the morning. Price, but it was high season and still the best bargain around.
