The hotel was beautiful, had old-world charm but all the modern conveniences, including a refrigerator in the room. The tall ceilings, big window, and huge bathroom were fabulous. It was convenient to ETSU and all the stores and activities in Johnson City. Everything! The entire hotel had a classic, turn of the century feel, yet felt very new throughout. The staff was fantastic and Wellington's will cause anyone to break their diet for all the right reasons! The Carnegie is an outstanding value!.
all reviews » when they received us, the hotel was veru busy due ti a conference, In order to make us more comfortable, they upgraded us free to the Presidential suite ! great people and staff !!!. The staff was perfect; polite and friendly, but not constantly in your business. Check-in was a snap. Parking wasn't bad. I will be staying here again. Large rooms. Ours had a king bed and a couch. Comfortable beds. Very big tiled bathrooms with separate shower and tub. The price was excellent. The hotel was beautiful. Rooms very spacious with flat screen TV's and fridge. Bathrooms nice clean and large with star bucks coffee. The hotel has a feeling of history. Even the furniture in the rooms. I've been staying here for years and love it. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in-from London to Vancouver. A particular suprise for Johnson City... Building and Facilities are great, very worthy and especially the cost-benefit ratio is simply unbeatable. Loved the ambiance and decor. The restaurant was excellent and the location is great!. location and some of the people( not all in front desk specifically ). Very comfortable...reminded me of an elegant European hotel. The Carnegie was absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. Everything. A top class hotel and staff and restaurant. Easy check in & conveniently located. Very nice place with a friendly staff. Very comfortable beds, very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Cleanliness and large rooms. Comfortable atmosphere. The decor. Having to leave :(. amenities could have been more cool ! just standard things. The bed did have two foam and two down pillows, but they were standard size. I would have preferred king size down pillows. There was a desk in the room but no table with chairs. A separate small round table with at least one chair would have been nice. The mattress and pillows were Very uncomfortable and old. with a little bit of extra nmaintenence it will be a fantastic hotel. Nothing. telephone completely broken, were never able to use it to simply call front desk and a water leak in the bathroom that was never repaired. Horrible pillows to small and to soft. air conditioned to noisy and rooms not completely isolated from noise. I didn't like that I had to leave. liked it all was my second visit. Toilet seat was broken. Almost fell off it twice. I had a late check in and when I tried to use the phone, it wouldn't work, so no supper. I was too tired to go to desk, so that was my only disappointment. I couldn't get anyone on the phone!. No complaints. The bed was horrible. Very uncomfortable did not sleep and could hear every vehicle that past.
