We had planned to get together with my 21 yr. old daughter downtown then hit the Colts game on Sunday. We had a great Saturday night ending at the Noodle then walked past the train rooms! to our room where we had a great night! Woke up and picked up by Colts Tix in the lobby! Stub Hub has a table right there, I even got my NFL picks in that morning on the lobby PC! Then got some Bfast downstairs with a celebratory Blue Mimosa, I would consider the stay excellent. Minus the performance the Colts.
all reviews » Built inside an old Railway Station with Train car rooms available. This is a historic beautiful building with great facilities. Currently undergoing renovations which did not bother us at all and can only be a benefit. We loved the statues and the history of the building. Hotel was a step back in time, bringing back the good old days when people traveled by rail. The aumbiance and design captured this history. The staff and facility was empeckable. The room was comfy; pool was nice; room service was great (as was Anthony, our server); the decorations and train theme were a big hit with kids; it was verrrrrrrry quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Really very nice and personable, especially Elizabeth. She was a hard worker and good at what she does. The furniture in the room was very nice, and the actual bed was very comfortable. Also, the concept of the hotel is very interesting. Location was great, staff very friendly. Did not use pool as was out of action or any other facilities. Beds were very comfy. Went to reception at Lucas oil, location excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The service was great. The King size bed, large bright bathroom/mirrow, frig in room 117. Very Clean room, friendly staff. staff and property location. Architecture. Location. The location to the stadium. Loved not needing to go outside for game and freeze. Room was also very nice and modern. The train car is unique and the location is perfect for seeing downtown, visiting restaurants, etc. The trains were cool. It was close to the convention center. The bed was comfortable. Location to different venues. Staff. Nothing, I Booked the hotel because Friends Are crazy about trains. I was an idiot, that's all. Train noise could be a problem for some travellers but they are infrequent, and the clue is in the name!!. Parking was pricie and tedious at the cost of the rooms would have been nice to be included in the costs. no hot tub; pool area was verrrrrrrry cold; parking garage is SCARY. It was a bit pricey ad would not fit in my regular travel budget. So, I would not be able to stay on future travel. The air conditioning unit made a rattling noise every hour which caused a very restless sleep. Plus it was very easy to hear the people in the rooms next to ours'. The bath tub was quite worn and really needed a refurb. Nothing. There was not a whirlpool. I was missing a piece of furniture in my room. I did not have a microwave or a mini fridge in my room. I was very disappointed about that. The fact that I was over charged by $72, parking is astronomical, I paid $135/night (people in line with me to check out paid $60 per night), room 117 very dark/gloomy, door has permant black marks/scratches on the door, overhead vent and water sprinkler dated and unsightly, carpet old, general decor of the room very old. Hotel was under extensive renovation and some of the services weren't available during our stay. remodeling (unavoidable) mess. Remodeling going on. Price, $279.00 before taxes, really?. $321 a night a little pricey. Renovation mess. Didn't like walking into that. Room is way too bright at night. Lights need to be lowered or something at certain time. And last was breakfast before game...buffet was cold, and waitress was overwhelmed by herself. Finally saw some other workers towards end but that was after we saw numerous people walk out...was definitely not worth the high price!. Some of the paint, etc. was a little worn in the train car. Overall, the hotel was being renovated and was messy. The train car was hard to get up in for older people. The smell. I was in a train room and they pretty much smell like a railroad. The bathtub didn't drain well. The adjoining door. Noise from train Cleaning crew left trash cans with garbage. One: the rooms don't have windows Two: the noise of the train feels like there is an earthquake. It is really noisy and the bedroom shakes when the train goes by. And the train passes A LOT DURING THE WHOLE NIGHT!. Door Fell out of cupboard, I left it standing next to it, Nobody repaired it or replaced light bulb! They strarted drilling next to room outside at 7,15 am. Expensive and horrible room and by God I have Seen enough ,Worldwide. WORST ROOM IN THE USA!.
