do get one of the rooms in the #32..36 range, they have harbor view and a rear porch and are very roomy. Very friendly staff, helpful and sympathetic.
Location 5 mins from Main St, just right to get hungry and settle yourself a bit on the way home.

I actually love that '50s charm of these family-run motels.
Not so convenient to Main St. shops. Balcony and sliding door to it not private, many people walking by. Pool small. Room up a steep hill.

Our room smelled musty but after we left our window open it smelled
okay. Also we had trouble with our billing at checkout--we were charged
more than our original quote so we had to talk to the manager who was
very nice and helped us out.
Walls between rooms were very thin.We had very noisy neighbours upstairs who had a 6 hour party & we might just as well have been there!.
lack of security - the parking lot is nearby the motel and the room locks could be easily opened by a child; no safe box, etc
they are somehow fearful in giving you the wifi codes
poor breakfast at inconvenient hours.
Staff was rude and not friendly
the shower ran either freezng cold or scalding hot.
it was raining the first day so the indoor pool was open. the next day it was beautiful out and they only had a staff person for the indoor pool so you could not go in the outdoor pool if someone was inside.
The 1st room we were assigned was on the bottom floor and smelled very
musty. We asked for another room and were given an upper room that did
not smell as bad. The rooms all have sliding glass doors instead of
regular doors which does not help with privacy. There is no room in the
bathrooms to put your things and no hooks to hang anything.
