My girlfriend and I came here for a romantic valentines weekend. The hotel and city was packed due to the nba All Star weekend. The staff was very helpful it was just beautiful. We had no complaints what so ever. We will definitely be coming back the perfect hotel for a romantic get away. They did not have my reservation when I arrived. Main issue: I paid $115.83 online for the room on letsbookhotel.com, but when I checked in they took a different credit card and put a pending transaction for another room charge of $140.83! I am still waiting for a refund.

The restaraunt and coffee shop not being open on the weekends was a little bit of a shocker but I do realize that this Hotel's location makes it more of a work week business hotel so it does make economic sense. The hallways looked old and outdated. Also the beds were a little uncomfortable. Under construction, very limited parking. The room doesn't have the refrigerator. No complaints. computers were out due to electrical flooding in computer room. Bleach smell in atrium area. Pool location located in atrium area. Noise level. I did not like the fact that our bathroom sink was leaking and was never fixed. That swimming pool was not available. The room service wasn't good at all. For 4 stars hotel I think they should look into this matter as the rooms dont seem clean and the room service doesnt make this any better. Quite a way from downtown Houston (but we knew this when we made the reservation). Traffic on I-10 (not Wyndham's fault). Didn't have my reservation correctly, 1 of the rooms went ready on check in. Moved from 7th floor to 15th floor because they didn't any room left on the 7th floor. Once on 15th floor hot as soon as you get off elevator room air condition wasn't working properly. I didn't like that the pool closes. I didn't like that I saw cracks everywhere I turned. It was kind of dirty looking but, I still saw what it used to be. For the price I paid there I stayed in a nicer room for less. The entire hotel smells bad. My room was very dated and my bed was very springy and uncomfortable. The staff wasnt the best and the vending machines kept taking my money I was told to go and try all machines on even floors until l gound a working one.....seriously keep walking and using my money at 2am so that I could get a soda? There was a hotel store that they had access to right by the front desk. Very very upset. I had my kids with me I had no time for that. Hotel did not deliver on promise to reinstate water after cut. Rennovations were not planned with customer comfort in mind. Staff not helpfull. Weird vibe, room was not ready when we walked in. Everything other than location 1- Late night check-in, no room service (Isaaq the Receptionist sayed "People need to sleep"!) 2- Phone in my friends room was smashed 3- I tried calling front desk, concierge as well as operator at night to ask neighbour to reduce tv volume ... but guess "People were taking required sleep!" 4- Smelly rooms 5- No fresh juices for breakfast 6- No Kosher or Halal meat for breakfast. Very poor standards, no / little hot water, the hotel is being renovated and rather than take complete floors out of service they are renovating around the guests in adjoining rooms, causing dust, noise and smells. Very run down hotel that looks badly dated.
