Old-style, big city, downtown quality experience. Four star hotel for a two star price. I am looking forward to returning again sometime soon. I did several days of research before booking this recent stay, next time through LetsBookHotel.com I will already have made my choice.Great room! Clean and updated and nice amenities. location close enough to walk to George brown center. Good little breakfast restaraunt freindly staff Everything we needed at a affordable price. Room design and facilities, contemporay european style, location. pressed sheets and friendly helpful staff.Excellent value for money. location and price.Everything felt very clean, from the sheets and the room to the bathroom and its towels. Some might think the room a bit small, but it was perfect for single occupancy. Also, check-in was very quick and efficient, and the staff at the front desk were great, very friendly. I also appreciated the complimentary internet access and printing in the Lobby. Oh, and the location was very convenient for me. It exceeded my expectations. I was there solo and using it only as a sleeping base and it met all my needs and more.comfortable room/bed.Once I discovered the metro line behind the hotel it became evident that transportation around downtown was excellent. I appreciated the complimentary water.Valet parking, very quick. Good room and nice showers. Near main street,for bus and taxis knew location so easy to get back once pissed. Fewgood pubs nearby, also next to jazz club (thurs-sun). Also walkingdistance to some other restaurants, hard rock cafe, rok bar etc. We feltvery safe in Houston central unlike what people told us before hand.Location put you downtown Houston and the hotel had everything I needed - overall ggod hotel and staff was accomodating to any questions or requests.Free web service, location is perfect, service of the staff is nice etc. central location. Good service.Good place to stay for reasonable price.nothing in particular.If I could add anything it would be a bathtub (just a personal preference) but the shower was nice (good water pressure and nice fixtures).Just some minor things -- that one of the vending machines in the Lower Lobby was slightly busted, i.e. it couldn't accept bills, only coins, and the Guest Launderette had run out of detergent! Oh, and no complimentary breakfast, unlike Best Western Hill Country Suites in San Antonio, Texas.The room I had may be a little small for use by more than one for an extended period of the day. The free Wi-Fi was a bit weak but the hotel quickly supplied a cable to overcome that problem.The wireless network didin't work on the 4th floor but reception gave me a lan connection and that fixed the problem. My key did not work in the elevator. I was fortunate to be staying on the second floor so I walked up the stairs.It was in Houston, not the greatest cities touristwise. Rent a car andgo to Austin or San Antonio. Maybe excellent if you are there forbusiness since right in the center for business.small room. no fridge in the room. The service in restaurant was not up to par with other services of hotel. Breakfast too simple and expensive.Room was small, the only cons.Area, hotel was grubby. room wasnt cleaned.
