I thought Rhisa, who checked me in was a wonderful concierge who helped me with all my inquiries and had bell hop take all my treasures up to my room! Davey, the IT person helped me get my Wi-Fi set very quickly! The room I had was in the far side of the main building where it was quite and no problems with getting around. I was very pleased with my stay and how efficient everyone was with my accommodations! Thank you for a wonderful stay-cation! Merry Christmas!.
all reviews » I was concerned about the property after reading reviews & was pleasantly pleased with everything about the hotel. Noise was not an issue as so many reviewers said. But it is a city so there will be some. We closed our windows at night & slept well. Great location. Buses out front. IHop across the street. Staff went out of their way to help whenever approached. I would stay here again. The front desk were very quick and responsive. They were very friendly and clearly spoken. Nothing was a problem. Well dressed. Acknowledged you when there was a cue. The parking and taxi valet service was excellent. Nice garden and surrounds. There were meal facilities nearby. These were pointed out to us. Close to the bus route. The location is very practical.Close to beach and shopping. We had a short stay of only 2 nights and for this purpose it was fitting very well.Maybe not for a longer stay I would prefer a hotel with larger rooms and a restaurant -which was not available in the hotel - however many close by !. The location was great, located close to shopping and restaurants. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were a good size and clean and comfortable. The beach was only a short walk away and having the bus stop right outside the door was a bonus. It is a light, fresh high rise hotel with helpfull staff in a good location swimming pool and WIFI available. Close to transport, shops and within walking distance from the beach. A cafe and a good Italian restaurant downstairs. The friendly greeting by staff and the early check in was available to us. Beds were comfortable. The complimentary lemon water was a nice touch. We stayed an older building, was ok but can see the need for updating. It was awesome that we got put on the top floor. Usually you put in a request and never get results but you guys really did. Standard room, rented between June 6 through 10 via letsbookhotel.com was $179+24.99 taxes/day, was small, and the small window in the bathroom right above the toilet has no blinds, no privacy as people from other highrises can look right into the almost the entire bathroom. Had to hide myself wiping after using the toilet and coming out of the shower. Very embarrassing. Room was not serviced on S. Manager was good to compensate for the bugs - moved to tower and comped the room. Location. Fold out couch was very uncomfortable. Our daughter tried sleeping on the couch not open & was crowded. Tried the cushions on the floor didn't work. But saying all this fold out couches are never comfortable, but, if it supposed to be an additional bed you should be able to sleep on it comfortably. O.k, maybe there was a bit of Friday night party noise. Considering where we were, we all were prepared to accept that. The room was a little cramped. I had sent an email requesting early check in and late check out...I didn't receive a response before hand that this was noted on our reservation. When we arrived we were not sure what to expect. When I booked this hotel it was on the base that there was airport shuttle service and then found out that there wasn't a few weeks before arriving. The attitude of vallet parker. Had a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Only 2 washing machines and one dryer working. Need more for that size resort. nothing! :). The bathroom was clean and updated but the shower was very small. The hallways were very run down, needed paint and new carpets. Must be an older building. We enjoyed our stay but this IS NOT a four star hotel.(Maybe not a three either). No all day restaurant; and could have been closer to Waikiki Beach but not much of a problem as lots of restaurants and transportation close by and all within walking distance. To be honest I did not have much time there. the room so mini and the door of garderobe is broken. Shower was tiny. Smallest shower I've ever seen and I've been on a cruise. Also tiles looked a little dingy. $30 a day for parking. But it's Waikiki I guess and everything is inflated. No all day dining in the hotel but it was ok there are plenty of places around and also the market in the hotel is there for use. Not a great value for $, though that's true of most places in Waikiki. Quality was not quite what I expected from a Courtyard by Marriott (the one on Kauai is amazing!). Outdoor entrance to some rooms, my mini fridge was broken, AC was very loud, WiFi was free but super slow - around 150 kbps, almost unusable! Just seemed like an older property than I expected but overall the location and staff make it worthwhile. nothing. . a bit noisy due to the traffic outside. . shower room is a bit too small, you can barely turn around. room is a little cramped. Paying 32.00 for valet parking, and the amount of time we had to wait for the valet to find our car when. It was about 30 minutes or so. Checking in at 3 is hard. A little old but kept up. Not much sun at the pool. Tiny beach towels :). no fan in the bathroom. Dirty dishes in hallway. Pretty loud-traffic and music. Need more desk staff for check-in and it's hard to reach anyone on the phone. Room size was a little small for four people. The shower too small. some of the room facilities are very limited. I had trouble with the door locking and phone was an issue with it rining at 3-30am daily . All were attended to by Marriott staff , but should not happen. Poor management in customer service -My friends had made a surprise fruit basket gift to be sent to my room on the very first night of our staying here. They had to find out it was never delivered after I returned. Very disappointed with Marriott's ability in handling what customers need! Obviously, some information was lost & I never got anything regarding this incident during our 4 nights staying there. - Also found some over charges in my bill when checking out. I was placed in a run down section of the hotel. It was plagued with drunks running down the hall banging on the doors at 4 AM. It cost more to park my car for the week than the rental and fuel combined. I was told after my stay there that this hotel was undesirable because this is where the prostitutes hang out in the early morning hours. I would never stay there again. next to a gay club and almost every guest was gay, funny. View. My credit card did not work so they wouldn't let us checkin !! I offered thousands of dollars as a deposit but still no exception whilst 3kids sat in reception for 4hours after a 10hr flight and nobody cared!!! Disgraceful. Twice we had dirty towels Room was too small Pool overlooking the parking and almost the street was not comfortable at all. Tiny room, poor breakfast, smelly bed, no view. 1. Noisy from the traffic on the road. 2. Narrow lavatory in the room. Parking was limited. Could not change reservation, which as I gather was due to Booking, and helped me understand that the service is not as supportive of users as I hoped. Poor parking options. They had bugs in the separate smaller building. The pool was being worked on so it was shut down for 2 days - the water was not clear. Facilities were poor Staff were not responsive to requests. The pool was beeing worked on and I put my brothers in the short building and it was embarissing that that building had roaches. Expected more from a Marriot, just didn't live up to expectations room size, location (though it was close to the beach it is on a central run for police and fire in the area).
