We stayed here twice. Once on the way down to Key West and on the way back to Miami. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The manager greeted all guests in the morning outside the breakfast area. The continental breakfast had many choices and there were several staff constantly refilling the food items. I needed to do laundry and was very appreciative of the complimentary washers and dryers.(make sure you pick up some detergent across the street at Publix). .

Thank you. Floridian is a perfect hotel to start the exploration of the Everglades and the Keys and Miami. It is just in the middle of it all. Friendly staff, good breakfast and a nice swimming pool and environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful, because we arrived early they let us check in early. Allowed us to have breakfast when we arrived and when we needed extra towels gave them to us quickly. Hotel was clean, the "General" was friendly. They accommodated me, my wife and two dogs without hassle... Except for moving from a newly renovated room to a room that use to allow smoking. *Manager and in-take desk personnel were very friendly and helpful, changing our room immediately when the a/c didn't work. *Continental breakfast had great variety. *Room was very clean. - best breakfast ever! For example: 3 types of fresh fruit salad - clean rooms - good and clean pool - friendly staff. Quietness, comfort, location, and a great management team. Even gave a free Nascar party after the sprint cup race. It was very clean, much nicer than I was expecting for the price we paid. We were told that they are renovating ten rooms at a time, so by the time you get there chances are you'll get a new room. When we first checked it, the person was on the phone and did not acknowledge us very quickly. The plastic cutlery at breakfast. It looks so cheap and doesn't eat easy. traffic noise. no negatives. ac didnt work so well in 1st room but quickly remedied with room move. We had to change rooms because door would not secure properly. Upholstered club chair was soiled. T. V. did not work. The power cord was unplugged & I plug it in but got "weak or no signal". Normal South Florida small pest problems (Sugar Ants and German Roaches) that you can't get away from down here. everything was great but was a little uncomfortable with the live ins at the Inn next door. This place is pretty run down. No internet access in the room. The breakfast was so poor, we can eat nothing so, we eat at the farmers market instead. - unfriedly reception - smelly room. Breakfast and staff are two major issues here. Breakfast is relatively simple (flakes, melons, yogurt, bread) and my wife found a fingernail in a piece of honeydew. The quality of staff is variable. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a friendly and smiling young woman, while the next day there was an uninterested and frowning individual.
