The rooms are really nice! The room we stayed in had a big master bedroom with it's own bath. There was a 2nd bedroom and bath, and the couch pulled out into a double bed as well. It had a full kitchen, complete with cooking and serving utensils. There was a microwave and a decent sized refrigerator. We had many meals in our room during our trip, which saved us a lot of money, and made eating for me (I am diabetic) much easier. We had a great view from our room, not of the beach, but of the san.
all reviews » Dana and Jim were the best. Dana was quick and courteous at the front desk. Jim was a delightful surprise as our shuttle driver. He was professional, courteous and informative. Jim went out of his way to make our trip memorable, even suggesting shrimp n' stuff for lunch on our way out of town. We were thouroughly impressed with all of your staff from front desk, housekeeping, maintenence, to the bartender at the courtyard. It is your staff that has made your hotel our number one choice hotel fo. The Hotel is located perfect. It's close to the less crowdes beaches , the pool is great, expecially when you travel with children. The staff was very helpful when needed and the breakfast is very good. The rooms are clean and big, everything you need to cook a meal, you find it there. I'm sure to stay at this place again. The suite was adequate size and the bed was comfortable. The pool area was awesome and there is a nice bar there. We ate and drank at the pool and the staff was attentive and very nice. The shuttle took us into town and picked us up when we wanted. The room was comfortable and we had a nice view of the Gulf which surprised me because the property is set back from the road. We enjoyed the breakfast also. The staff was professional and friendly. Great room (2 BR/2 bath suite with living room and kitchenette). Free breakfast (although would have been better if it was hot breakfast rather than continental). Pool area is very nice. The sound of waves hitting the shore as I walked out the front door. The beds a were extrememly comfortable. It was close to everything. Loved everything!! Especially the pool & pool side set up. Was also impressed with the handicap pool access that was available. I loved the room and how clean the hotel was overall. I also enjoyed the pool and how a waitress would deliver drinks from the bar. I liked the makeup of the hotel. I also liked the staff they remembered my name! That is a good feeling.. The location and service. nice, quiet, clean. The room was large and kitchenette was nice. The continental breakfast had a large selection. The hotel was near beach and shopping including Walmart. Staff was attentive. Resolved room issues promptly. The hotel was brand new so everything was clean. it was new and did not smell. Nothing. Fitness center, spacious room, well-stocked kitchenette, clean, big and comfortable bed. There wasn't much by way of beach access immediately adjacent to the hotel. But just a short drive in either direction was a public area where you could swim, fish, etc. This was a plus for us, but could be a negative for others: the resort is on the top end of the seawall, kind of away from all the flurry of activity. My husband and I appreciated the quiet and distance from the "party crowd" but I think our teenaged children would have preferred to be closer to it. The breakfast wad great and the woman restocking it was doing a great job. However, the breakfast area needs a few more toasters as the wait for "the one" was too long. Hand-picked just a suggestion: scrambled instead of hard boiled eggs. Wish the shuttle ran after 5:00 pm. I didn't like the configuration of the room, would have preferred the bathroom near the door and not right next to the bed. Showers didn't drain well at all, was standing in a couple inches of water during my shower (tried both showers in the room and they both did the same thing). Nothing. I felt that the staff at the front desk could have better customer service. The customer service was ok but for how much I payed I expected better. Also the staff at the bar overcharged me on drinks multiple times. I liked everything. I just wish they had waffles for breakfast.lol. coffee in the room was horrible. There were some kinks with a new facility. It was only open two days and they had hot water issues in one of the towers. Overall great place. The location of Townplace behind the Mariott Courtyard was not clear and resulted in my parking and walking inside the wrong facility. Neither the Internet directions nor the on site parking lot directed Townplace visitors to the back area. I was not pleased!. The location, it was behind the courtyard Marriott but it was okay. Also didn't like that we found dirty clothes that was left over from the previous customer behind the tv. Had to plug up my iphone and found it. Wanted to extend for an extra night and the staff person on the desk was not helpful or informed to tell me whether the room was available so we ended up moving from one room to another room which was not as nice as the original room. Staff should be able to inform guest immediately on any question they have instead of saying to the guest I will have an answer for you in 3 or 4 hours. Two facilities at one address, one behind the other with no names on the buildings and no directional signs for finding Townplace (the building behind Homesuites), had to go out front door and walk thru parking lot to get to pool, no outside drinks at the pool, only that which was sold by the hotel. No view of beach. Hidden away in the back. Kind of dreary place. Staff did not know any questions about the area. Nothing. could not walk on beach. The room was hot in the afternoon. We had to ask for housekeeping. letsbookhotel.com website said that the check in time is after 3pm... in reality the check in time is 4 pm. The address was misleading, address said 'seawall', hotel was located behind another hotel. No ocean view. Very disappointed with the lack of view for the price. Broken glass in the sink and dirty sheets on the bed. (The manager did move us to another room and discounted one night's stay. Thanks Cody). The staff was not trained, check-in took 30-40 min. The cleaning staff also were under trained. The walls are very thin. Hotel accepts dogs, which is fine, but you can hear dogs barking all day long. to many problems with new staff working the computers. People wasn't trained double billed stressful. It is right on the sea wall, but there is no beach directly across from the hotel. It requires a short drive to get to sand.
